Business segments
YETI Holdings reports one operating segment, reflecting consolidated management and resource allocation across the business; it does not report product categories as separate operating segments.[31] Its FY2025 product-category disclosures provide a supplementary view of sales mix: Coolers & Equipment, including coolers, bags, storage and outdoor-living products, generated approximately $748.5 million, or 40.1% of net sales.[9][6] Drinkware—including bottles, jugs, cups, mugs and tumblers—generated approximately $1,085.8 million, or 58.1%.[16][17][18][6] Other products contributed approximately $34.1 million, or 1.8%.[8][6] These percentages are calculated against FY2025 consolidated net sales of $1,868.5 million.[31][6] [31][9][6][16][17][18][6][8][6][6]
Company history
YETI was founded in 2006 by brothers Roy and Ryan Seiders, who set out to develop a more durable cooler for outdoor use. The company introduced its Tundra hard cooler in 2008 and subsequently expanded from coolers into soft coolers and insulated drinkware, including the Rambler line.[32][33][34][35]
In 2012, an affiliate of Cortec Group acquired YETI Coolers. Matt Reintjes became CEO in 2015, while co-founder Roy Seiders moved into the role of full-time chairman. In 2017, YETI acquired the assets of Rambler On, its drinkware-customization partner, and established wholly owned entities in several international markets.[36][37][38][39]
YETI completed its initial public offering in October 2018 at $18 per share. In 2024, it completed the acquisition of MYSTERY RANCH, expanding its portfolio into backpacks and gear, and introduced food-storage and cookware products.[40][41][42][43]
