Company history

United Rentals was incorporated in Delaware in 1997. Acquisitions, concentrated between 1997 and 2000, shaped its early growth.[18][19] A major expansion followed on April 30, 2012, when it acquired RSC Holdings, which had 440 locations across the United States and Canada.[20]
