Ubiquiti Inc. is a networking technology company founded in 2005. Its stated mission is to “democratize network technology on a global scale.” It develops networking hardware and software for wireless internet service providers, businesses and smart homes. Its products include wireless broadband equipment, Wi-Fi systems, switches, security gateways, video surveillance and access-control systems, organized principally around its UniFi and UISP platforms.[1][2][3]
Ubiquiti sells through distributors, online retailers and its own webstores, with products supporting network infrastructure in more than 200 countries and territories. Products & services
Ubiquiti’s UniFi portfolio combines networking, security and communications products. UniFi Cloud Gateways provide routing, cybersecurity and centralized site management; UniFi WiFi access points and switches provide managed wireless connectivity and network switching, including Power over Ethernet. UniFi Protect pairs surveillance cameras with local video storage and secure remote access, while UniFi Access provides door control with video integration and mobile credentials. UniFi Talk offers a business phone system with a VoIP subscription service. The portfolio also includes UniFi Connect and the AmpliFi home-networking line.[3][6][7][8][9][10][11]
For service providers, Ubiquiti offers fixed-wireless access, backhaul, fiber and routing equipment alongside UISP software for managing networks and customers. Its airMAX line includes base stations, radios and customer-premises equipment for long-distance wireless links; airFiber provides point-to-point wireless backhaul; UFiber supports GPON fiber deployments; and Wave is a 60 GHz wireless platform. The company also offers EdgeMAX routing products. UISP software helps wireless internet service providers control, track and bill customers.[12][13][14][15][16][17]
Revenue comes principally from networking hardware, with a portion attributed to associated post-contract customer support. Geographic presence
Ubiquiti sells globally, primarily through distributors and resellers. In fiscal 2025, North America accounted for 50% of revenue ($1.30 billion), Europe, the Middle East and Africa for 39% ($999 million), Asia Pacific for 7% ($169 million), and South America for 4% ($110 million). U.S. revenue was $1.19 billion, representing most of the North American total. Revenue is assigned by customer ship-to destination, which may differ from the location of the distributor’s end customer.[4][20][21][22]
Ubiquiti’s principal executive office is in New York City, and it leases facilities in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. As of June 2025, 65% of its 1,667-person full-time-equivalent workforce, including contractors, was in Asia Pacific, 24% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and 11% in the Americas. Its research and development team spans the United States, Taiwan, China, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Ukraine and Sweden, among other locations. Ubiquiti reports **one operating and reportable segment**; Enterprise Technology and Service Provider Technology are product categories used to break down revenue, not separately reported segments. The company’s chief operating decision maker assesses performance and allocates resources using consolidated results.[28][18]
**Enterprise Technology** includes the UniFi platform’s networking, video surveillance, access control, communications and related products, as well as AmpliFi. It generated approximately **88% of fiscal 2025 revenue**, up from about 84% in fiscal 2024.[29][3][30] **Service Provider Technology** includes wireless broadband and backhaul, routing and fiber products sold under platforms including airMAX, airFiber, UISP, EdgeMAX, UFiber and Wave. Company history
Ubiquiti was founded in 2005 by Robert Pera. It introduced its airMAX wireless platform in September 2009 and released the UniFi enterprise Wi-Fi platform in January 2011, expanding its product range. Its initial public offering closed in October 2011.[31][32][33][34]
The company introduced airFiber in March 2012. In May 2016, it announced Ubiquiti Labs, a consumer-electronics research and development effort, alongside its AmpliFi home Wi-Fi platform. In August 2019, Ubiquiti Networks changed its name to Ubiquiti Inc. and moved its stock listing from Nasdaq to the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol UI.[35][36][37][38] [31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38]
