Overview

Teleflex Inc. is a global medical technology company that develops and supplies devices used in clinical care. Its products include vascular-access and interventional technologies, such as vascular catheters, catheter-navigation systems, intraosseous access devices and products for coronary and peripheral interventions.[1][2] Its stated purpose is “to improve the health and quality of people’s lives.” [3]

Teleflex reported FY2025 net revenues of approximately $2.0 billion.[4] The company reported approximately 14,000 employees and operations in 37 countries, with products serving healthcare providers in more than 150 countries.[3] [1]

Products & services

Teleflex’s vascular and emergency-medicine products include Arrow catheters and catheter navigation and tip-positioning systems, with some catheters incorporating antimicrobial and anti-thrombogenic technologies. Its intraosseous-access systems, including EZ-IO and Arrow FAST1, provide a route for delivering medication and fluids when intravenous access is difficult or infeasible; QuikClot products are hemostats for bleeding control.[1] Teleflex also provides EZ-IO clinical resources, including training materials and videos.[8]

Interventional products support vascular access, complex procedures and post-procedure closure. Named products include GuideLiner, Turnpike and TrapLiner catheters, the MANTA vascular-closure device and the Arrow OnControl powered bone-biopsy system; the portfolio also includes drug-coated balloons, stents and balloon catheters.[2][9] Surgical products include ligating clips and appliers, laparoscopic fascial-closure and percutaneous systems, the powered Titan SGS bariatric stapler, and ENT, cardiovascular and thoracic instruments sold under brands including Weck, MiniLap, Pleur-Evac, Deknatel, KMedic and Pilling.[10] Teleflex’s U.S. product information lists EZ-IO needle lengths of 15, 25 and 45 mm; MANTA devices are offered in 14 Fr and 18 Fr sizes for large-bore femoral closure following use of 12–25 Fr sheaths.[11][12]

In FY2025, reported global product-category revenue was approximately 46.0% Vascular ($917.7 million), 32.5% Interventional ($647.8 million), 21.0% Surgical ($418.2 million) and 0.5% Other ($9.0 million), of $1,992.7 million total.[13] [1]

Geographic presence

Teleflex reports operations in three segments—Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and Asia—and sells worldwide through direct sales and distributors. It identifies significant non-U.S. manufacturing, distribution, research and development, sales, and customer-support operations in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Malaysia, and Mexico.[14][15]

For FY2025, revenue by selling location was $1.182 billion in the U.S. (59.3% of total), $484.7 million in Europe (24.3%), $218.0 million in Asia Pacific (10.9%), and $108.1 million in all other locations (5.4%). Total revenue was $1.993 billion. Separately, the company reported that 41% of continuing-operations net revenue was generated by entities outside the U.S.[16][17]

The company’s listed facilities include manufacturing sites in Mexico, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Ireland, alongside U.S. facilities; other listed sites include a distribution warehouse in Olive Branch, Mississippi, and engineering or research locations in Minnesota and Pennsylvania. At year-end 2025, Teleflex had approximately 15,500 employees: 3,700 in the U.S. and 11,800 across 38 other countries. The filing reports 76% of full-time employees outside the U.S.; supply-chain employees were primarily in Mexico, Malaysia, the U.S., and the Czech Republic.[18][19] [14]

Business segments

Teleflex’s 2025 Form 10-K reports three geographic segments: Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and Asia. Each offers a broad medical-device portfolio; the company does not identify a distinct product focus for each geography. Its products are used mainly in critical-care and surgical applications, including high-acuity emergent and general and specialty surgical procedures.[20]

Based on 2025 segment revenue of $1,279.2 million for Americas, $472.4 million for EMEA, and $241.1 million for Asia, the approximate shares of the $1,992.7 million total are 64.2%, 23.7%, and 12.1%, respectively.[21] Teleflex also describes product categories including Vascular, Interventional, and Surgical, but these are not additional reportable segments.[22] In Q4 2024, the company changed its segment presentation to reflect geographic performance management, incorporating OEM into Americas; the 2025 filing continues the three-geography presentation.[23][20] [20]

Company history

Teleflex was founded in 1943 as a maker of precision mechanical push-pull controls for military aircraft. Over time, it expanded through product development, acquisitions and entry into new markets.[24]

A major shift toward medical technology came in 2007, when Teleflex completed its acquisition of Arrow International, a vascular-access company. In 2011, it sold its Marine business and agreed to divest aerospace and cargo-related operations as it refocused on medical technology.[25]

Teleflex continued to expand its medical portfolio through acquisitions, including Vidacare in 2013, NeoTract and Vascular Solutions in 2017, Essential Medical in 2018, and Palette Life Sciences in 2023. These transactions added products and businesses in areas including vascular access, urology and vascular intervention.[28]

In 2025, Teleflex completed the acquisition of BIOTRONIK’s vascular-intervention business and announced agreements to sell its Acute Care, Interventional Urology and OEM businesses. It reported completing the OEM sale in 2026, with the other announced sale still pending at the time of its second-quarter report.[33] [29]
