Overview
“SWATCH BEARER” appears to refer to the bearer-share listing of The Swatch Group Ltd, rather than a separate operating company. The Swatch Group is a Swiss watchmaking and consumer-goods group that designs, manufactures and sells watches, jewelry, movements and components, alongside electronic-systems activities. Its portfolio spans 16 watch brands, including Breguet, Omega, Longines, Tissot and Swatch, and it operates in more than 50 countries.[1][2][3]
For 2025, the group reported net sales of CHF 6,280 million and had 31,796 employees at year-end. Its modern form traces to the 1983 merger that created SMH, renamed The Swatch Group Ltd in 1998.[4][5][6] [4][5][1][2][3][6]

SWATCH BEARER’s product portfolio, as described by Swatch Group, includes finished watches, jewelry, movements, components and electronic systems. Company history
The Swatch Group traces its origins to two Swiss watchmaking companies: SSIH, founded in 1930, and ASUAG, founded in 1931. In 1983, a restructuring strategy developed by Nicolas G. Hayek brought the companies together as Société Suisse de Microélectronique et d’Horlogerie (SMH); that March, the first Swatch watch was launched in Switzerland.[6][23]
In 1998, SMH was renamed The Swatch Group. The Group acquired German watchmaker Glashütter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH in 2000.[24][25]
Following Nicolas G. Hayek’s death in 2010, Nayla Hayek was appointed chairwoman of the Board. In 2013, the Group completed its acquisition of Harry Winston’s luxury jewelry and timepiece business and inaugurated its new headquarters in Biel.[26][27][28][29] [30][31][6][23][24][25][26][27][28][29]
