Overview

Super Group (SGHC) Ltd is a global online sports betting and casino gaming company. Its principal consumer brands are Betway, a sportsbook and casino, and Spin, a multi-brand online casino; the group also licenses the Betway brand to third parties.[1]

The company operates through subsidiaries licensed in 20 jurisdictions. Its 2025 net gaming revenue came from North America, South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.[7] Super Group describes its strategic aim as delivering first-class entertainment through a focus on sports betting and iGaming, data-informed decisions, and customer experience.[8]

For the year ended December 31, 2025, Super Group reported $2.2 billion in net gaming revenue and approximately 2,900 employees; it also averaged more than 5.6 million monthly customers.[7] [1]

Products & services

Super Group’s consumer products include Betway, a sportsbook and online casino brand whose sportsbook covers more than 70 sports, and Spin, a multi-brand online casino portfolio with more than 16 brands; some Spin brands also offer sports betting. Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Lucky Nugget and Ruby Fortune are among the named casino brands. The group also operates Jumpman, a multi-brand online casino business that uses proprietary technology and supplies white-label brand partners.[1]

The company develops customer-facing apps and betting platforms, including custom-built platforms for Betway Africa. Its sportsbook technology includes proprietary platforms used in certain markets, and in February 2026 it acquired worldwide rights outside the U.S. to Fusion sportsbook software and U.S. rights to Marown sportsbook software, which it owns and licenses to its operators.[11] In FY2025, online casino generated $1.790 billion, about 80.2% of total revenue, and sports betting generated $408 million, about 18.3%; brand licensing contributed $26 million, about 1.2%.[14] [1]

Geographic presence

In FY2025, Super Group’s revenue was distributed across five regions: Africa & Middle East, $898 million (40%); North America, $742 million (33%); Europe, $425 million (19%); Asia-Pacific, $147 million (7%); and South/Latin America, $19 million (1%). Percentages are of total revenue.[15]

The company reported subsidiaries licensed in 20 jurisdictions. Examples named include Great Britain, Alderney, Spain, Germany, Canada, Malta, South Africa, Zambia, and the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake; the available disclosures do not give revenue by individual country.[16][7] Betway Africa lists markets including Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Botswana.[17]

Super Group reported approximately 2,900 employees across 16 regions for FY2025, without a country-by-country employee breakdown.[18] Company pages identify offices in Malta and Cape Town, a corporate contact address in St Peter Port, Guernsey, and additional DIGI Outsource offices including London and Lisbon.[19] [15]

Business segments

In its 2025 reporting, Super Group identified four operating segments—Betway, Spin, Jumpman and DGC—but presented two reportable segments: Betway and Spin. Jumpman is included in Spin; DGC activity is allocated between Spin and Betway according to brand.[22]

Betway is a single-brand online sportsbook and casino business, with sponsorship marketing spend also recovered through brand-licensing agreements. It generated US$1,381 million, approximately 62% of the US$2,231 million in segment revenue.[23][24] Spin is a multi-brand online-casino business with more than 16 brands; some brands also offer sports betting. It includes Jumpman, a multi-brand casino operator using proprietary technology that also serves white-label partners. Spin generated US$850 million, approximately 38% of segment revenue.[6]

The company also disaggregated 2025 revenue geographically: Africa & Middle East 40%, Asia-Pacific 7%, Europe 19%, North America 33%, and South/Latin America 1%. This is a geographic view of revenue, not an additional set of reportable operating segments.[15] [22]

Company history

Super Group’s origins trace to Spin: Spencer McNally co-founded the business in 1997, and its Jackpot City brand launched in 1998. Betway was established in 2006; in 2011 it acquired Win Technologies, co-founded by Neal Menashe in 2001. Menashe became Super Group’s chief executive and a director when the holding company was formed in January 2021.[25]

In April 2021, Super Group announced a business combination with Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp. (SEAC), with the transaction also providing for the acquisition of Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC). Betway expanded into the United States during 2021, including launching in Iowa, its fifth U.S. market at the time. The SEAC combination closed on January 27, 2022, and Super Group began trading on the New York Stock Exchange the following day under the ticker SGHC.[28]

In 2022, Betway and Spin entered Ontario’s regulated market, and Super Group acquired a majority stake in Jumpman Gaming, adding to Spin’s casino business. The company completed the DGC acquisition in January 2023 and acquired the remaining Jumpman stake in 2024. Also in 2024, it completed the sale of DGC’s business-to-business division to Games Global.[31] [27]
