Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. is an infrastructure construction and services company whose three business segments are E-Infrastructure Solutions, Transportation Solutions and Building Solutions. The company operates primarily in U.S. markets, with regional activities across areas including the Southeast, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Rocky Mountain, western and southwestern states, Texas and the Phoenix area; its transportation operations also include the Pacific Islands.[2][3][4] Sterling describes its purpose as building and servicing infrastructure that enables the economy to run, people to move and the country to grow.[5]

Products & services
Sterling’s offerings are primarily construction and contracting services rather than discrete manufactured products. Its E-Infrastructure Solutions include large-scale site development and mission-critical electrical work for data centers, semiconductor fabrication, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing and power-generation facilities. The addition of CEC expanded this offering into specialty electrical and mechanical contracting and later phases of project work.[8][9][10]
Transportation Solutions cover construction and rehabilitation of highways, roads, bridges, airports, ports and rail infrastructure, as well as storm-drainage systems. The segment performs heavy-highway, aviation and rail work, including airport, commercial, piling and shoring projects.[8][3][11][12]
Building Solutions include concrete foundations for single- and multi-family housing, parking structures, elevated slabs and other concrete work; plumbing for major phases of new single-family construction; and surveying for residential construction.[8][4][13]
By segment, FY2025 revenue was $1,466.8 million from E-Infrastructure (59% of company revenue), $640.7 million from Transportation (26%) and $382.6 million from Building (15%). In the six months ended June 30, 2026, the respective figures were $1,502.7 million (75%), $289.6 million (15%) and $201.6 million (10%). These are segment-level figures, not product-specific sales.[14][15] [8][9][10][3][11][12][4][13][14][15][10][12][13]
Geographic presence
Sterling Infrastructure, Inc.’s operations are concentrated in the United States, with activity across the Southern, Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic and Rocky Mountain regions, as well as the Pacific Islands. Its filings do not provide revenue by country or region, so geographic revenue percentages cannot be stated from the available disclosures.[16]
Its E-Infrastructure segment serves markets including data centers, manufacturing, distribution and power generation, with site-development activity particularly in the Southeast, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Rocky Mountain regions. Transportation work includes projects in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Texas, as well as the Pacific Islands. The Building segment’s residential activity is concentrated in Texas—especially Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston and nearby communities—with expansion into the greater Phoenix area.[2][3][4]
The company’s corporate headquarters is in The Woodlands, Texas. Sterling reported approximately 4,400 employees at year-end 2025, but does not disclose their distribution by region.[17][18] [16][2][3][4][17][18][17]

Sterling Infrastructure reports three business segments. E-Infrastructure Solutions provides large-scale site development and mission-critical electrical services; Transportation Solutions delivers infrastructure construction and rehabilitation, including highways, roads, bridges, airports, ports, rail and storm drainage; and Building Solutions performs residential and commercial concrete work, plumbing, and surveying for new single-family homes.[8]
In FY2025, E-Infrastructure generated $1,466.8 million, approximately 58.9% of consolidated revenue; Transportation generated $640.7 million, approximately 25.7%; and Building generated $382.6 million, approximately 15.4%. Shares are calculated from segment revenue totaling $2,490.0 million.[19] [8][19][19][19][19]
Company history
Sterling’s operating-business roots date to 1955, when a predecessor construction company began in Michigan; the company’s official history traces Oakhurst Company’s origins to brothers James and Richard Manning. The current parent company was formed in 1991 and, after being known as Oakhurst, adopted the Sterling Construction Company name in 2001.[5][20]
A major leadership transition came in 2017, when Joseph A. Cutillo became CEO, the same year Sterling acquired Texas concrete contractor Tealstone. Sterling expanded its site-development operations through the 2019 acquisition of Plateau Excavation and the 2021 acquisition of Petillo. In 2022, it changed its corporate name to Sterling Infrastructure, Inc.; subsequent acquisitions included Professional Plumbers Group in 2023 and CEC Facilities Group in 2025. In 2026, Sterling acquired Idaho site-development contractor Stone Ridge.[21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28] [5][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28]
