Products & services

Siemens Healthineers’ diagnostics products span general laboratory, specialty laboratory and point-of-care testing, covering immunochemistry, hematology, hemostasis, urinalysis, diabetes care and blood gas, alongside laboratory workflow and informatics tools [5]. Named product lines in current development include Atellica, Clinitek, RapidPoint and RapidLab [11]. The Atellica Solution is an integrated immunoassay and clinical chemistry platform with automated sample management, AI-enabled workflow features, flexible linear/L/U configurations and connectivity to Aptio Automation [12]. In point-of-care blood gas testing, the RAPIDPoint 500e system is described with clot and bubble detection, frequent sample-integrity checks, automatic calibration and quality control, barcode-based identification and results in about 60 seconds [13]. The CLINITEK Status+ analyzer adds automated urinalysis and urine hCG testing, with automatic timing and reading, built-in strip/sample checks and results in about one minute [14].

Its imaging portfolio includes MRI, CT, X-ray, molecular imaging and ultrasound systems, supported by shared software platforms and software for image reading and structured reporting [15]. Representative products include the 1.5T MAGNETOM Flow MRI platform, which uses DryCool sealed-for-life magnet technology with 0.7 liters of helium, removes the quench pipe, offers 60 cm and 70 cm bore configurations, and emphasizes AI-supported workflows and deep-learning-enhanced imaging [16]. The NAEOTOM Alpha CT system uses photon-counting detector technology with direct signal conversion, spectral information in every scan and high-resolution imaging at low dose [17]. In breast imaging, MAMMOMAT B.brilliant provides 50° wide-angle tomosynthesis with a scan time of about 5 seconds, plus contrast-enhanced digital mammography and breast biopsy capability [18].

Advanced Therapies centers on image-guided minimally invasive treatment, with angiography systems, mobile C-arms and neurovascular endovascular robotics [8]. Examples include Cios Spin, a mobile C-arm for 2D and 3D intraoperative imaging and intraoperative quality control, and the ARTIS icono angiography family, offered in floor, ceiling and biplane configurations with 2k imaging, automated workflow changes and 3D acquisition support [19][20]. In FY2024, revenue by customer location was highest in the Americas at €9,428 million, or about 42% of total revenue, followed by EMEA at €7,440 million, or about 33%, Asia Pacific Japan at €2,944 million, or about 13%, and China at €2,550 million, or about 11%. The company reports China separately from Asia Pacific Japan, and the Asia Pacific Japan region includes India [25][26]. Company history

Siemens Healthineers traces its roots to 1847, when Werner von Siemens and Johann Georg Halske founded Siemens & Halske; its medical-technology heritage began with electrotherapy devices and expanded into imaging after Siemens started building medical X-ray tubes in 1896, shortly after Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen’s discovery of X-rays.[36][37] In 1933, major parts of Siemens’ medical activities were brought together in Siemens-Reiniger-Werke, an important step in consolidating the business.[38]

The business later expanded beyond imaging into diagnostics, notably through the acquisitions of Bayer Diagnostics in 2006 and Dade Behring in 2007.[39][40] The modern listed company was created when Siemens Healthineers AG was established on 1 December 2017, followed by its stock market debut in Frankfurt on 16 March 2018.[41][42] Another major milestone came on 15 April 2021, when Siemens Healthineers completed its acquisition of Varian Medical Systems, adding radiation oncology and broadening the company’s role in cancer care.[43] [41]+7
