Products & services
Sanmina’s product portfolio includes printed circuit boards (PCBs) and PCB assemblies, backplanes, cable assemblies, memory modules, optical and radio-frequency microelectronics modules, and fabricated components such as precision-machined metal and injection-molded plastic parts. These components and subassemblies can be integrated, configured and tested to customer specifications. Its high-speed PCB and backplane capabilities include designs with more than 70 layers.[2][11]
Optical offerings include transmitter and receiver optical subassemblies (TOSAs and ROSAs), modulators, lasers and optical-networking systems; the company lists modulators capable of up to 400 Gb/s. For data centers, its offerings include ORv3 racks and liquid-cooling equipment such as manifolds, heat exchangers and coolant distribution units.[12][13]
Services span product architecture and engineering, simulation, prototyping, testing and validation, integration, regulatory qualification, and transition to volume production. Post-production services include repair and sustaining engineering, warranty management, refurbishment, recycling, reverse logistics and end-of-life management.[14][4] [2][14][4][11][12][13]

Business segments
Sanmina manages its businesses as Integrated Manufacturing Solutions (IMS) and Components, Products and Services (CPS), but reports only IMS as a reportable segment. IMS focuses on printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and test, high-level assembly and test, and direct order fulfillment. CPS aggregates operating segments that do not individually meet reportable-segment thresholds and includes components, products, and services such as PCBs, backplanes, cables, metal and molded parts, memory, RF, optical and microelectronic products, data-storage solutions, engineering, logistics, repair, and defense and aerospace products.[24][25]
For the nine months ended June 27, 2026, IMS generated $9.299 billion, approximately 87.2% of net sales; CPS generated $1.368 billion, approximately 12.8%.[15] Sanmina also groups revenue by end market rather than reporting each market as a segment: Industrial & Energy, Medical, Defense & Aerospace, and Automotive & Transportation together contributed $3.784 billion (approximately 35.5%); Communications Networks and Cloud & AI Infrastructure together contributed $6.883 billion (approximately 64.5%).[26][15] [24][25][15][15][26][15][15]
Company history
Founded in Silicon Valley in 1980, Sanmina was co-founded by Jure Sola and Milan Mandarić.[6][27] In June 2000, Sanmina completed its merger with Hadco, expanding its printed-circuit-board business.[28] In December 2001, it completed a merger with SCI Systems and took the name Sanmina-SCI.[29]
The company changed its name to Sanmina Corporation in November 2012.[30] In August 2020, co-founder Jure Sola reassumed the roles of chairman and CEO.[31][32] In fiscal 2023, Reliance Strategic Business Ventures acquired a 50.1% interest in Sanmina’s Indian manufacturing entity, with Sanmina retaining 49.9%.[33] In October 2025, Sanmina completed its acquisition of ZT Systems’ data-center infrastructure manufacturing business from AMD, a major expansion into cloud and AI infrastructure.[34] [31][33][34][6][27][28][29][30][32]
