Company history

Quest Diagnostics traces its predecessor businesses to 1967 and was incorporated in Delaware in 1990. It became an independent company in 1996, when Corning spun off its clinical laboratory business. Quest subsequently expanded through acquisitions, including SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories in 1999 and Solstas Lab Partners in 2014.[22]+2
