Privia Health Group, Inc.

Updated

Overview

Privia Health Group, Inc. is a physician-enablement company in the healthcare sector. It partners with physicians, health plans, and health systems, combining regional medical groups, technology, and practice-management and value-based-care services to support provider practices while preserving physician autonomy. Its stated mission is to transform healthcare by empowering physicians, enhancing the patient experience, and driving better outcomes.[1][2]

The company operates across multiple U.S. markets, including the Mid-Atlantic, Georgia, Texas, Florida, and several other states. As of June 30, 2026, it reported 5,644 implemented providers and 1.647 million attributed lives. Revenue was $1.2365 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, and $2.1228 billion for full-year 2025.[3] [1]

Products & services

Privia’s Privia Technology Solution, also referred to as the Privia Platform, is a cloud-based system for provider and patient workflows. It supports patient scheduling and communications, provider charting, care-gap identification, video/phone/internet visits, and workflows from patient access and pre-visit analytics through care coordination and reporting. The platform also supports machine-learning and AI applications for administrative tasks, and uses APIs to integrate with external systems; practices using it had migrated from approximately 50 EMR vendors by December 31, 2025.[7]

Patient-facing and clinical services include a patient portal and mobile app, online scheduling and reminders, a 24/7 Nurse Triage Call Center, and 24/7 On-demand Virtual Visits. Virtual care is integrated with the patient EMR and can connect patients to in-person follow-up or specialist referrals. Clinical workflows include pre-visit insights and huddle reports, identification of quality and coding gaps and care-management needs, post-visit care coordination, transitional and chronic care management, patient education, care plans, secure messaging, and an EMR-integrated care-team app with assessments and workflow templates.[10]

Privia also provides value-based-care and ACO enablement services, including quality-gap identification, automated patient outreach and education, population-health reporting, and coordination tools. Other offerings include fee-for-service medical care, ancillary laboratory, imaging and pharmacy operations, administrative and management services for medical groups, virtual visits, and coding. In the first half of 2026, revenue was 65.0% fee-for-service patient care, 5.2% fee-for-service administrative services, 29.4% value-based-care revenue, and 0.3% other revenue; the filing identifies capitation, shared savings, and care-management fees as components of value-based-care revenue.[15] [7]

Geographic presence

As of June 30, 2026, Privia Health reported Medical Groups in 17 U.S. markets: Mid-Atlantic (Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.); Georgia; Gulf Coast (Houston–San Antonio–Austin, Texas); North Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth); West Texas (Abilene); Central Florida; Tennessee; California; Montana; Ohio; North Carolina; Connecticut; Washington state; South Carolina; Indiana; Arizona; and New Jersey. The company entered Arizona in April 2025 and New Jersey in May 2026.[3]

Privia’s headquarters and principal executive office are in Arlington, Virginia; its 2025 year-end filing also says it leases space for other offices throughout the U.S., without identifying their locations. The company reports one operating segment, and the reviewed filings do not disclose revenue by geography, geographic revenue percentages, sales-territory breakdowns, or employee distribution by location. Management’s statement that its solution is applicable across all 50 states describes potential applicability, not its current operating footprint.[22] [3]

Business segments

Privia Health Group, Inc. reports one operating and reportable segment, encompassing its unified healthcare business; it does not report primary care, specialty care, fee-for-service (FFS), or value-based care (VBC) as separate segments.[25][24] The business centers on a primary-care-focused medical-group model that includes specialist networks and uses its platform to support patient access, care delivery, coordination, and reporting.[27]

Because the company reports a single segment, that segment represents 100% of reported consolidated revenue. VBC is a business and revenue category, not a separate reportable segment: VBC revenue was approximately 29.0% of total revenue in 2025, versus 26.3% in 2024 and 33.8% in 2023.[28] [25]

Company history

Privia Health’s first medical group practice began operating in Virginia in 2013. The company expanded into Maryland and Washington, D.C., in 2014, followed by Georgia and South Texas in 2015 and North Texas in 2016.[29] In 2018, Shawn Morris became CEO and Privia launched its Women’s Health service line; the company entered Florida in 2019 and Tennessee in 2020, when it also launched Pediatrics.[29]

Privia began trading on Nasdaq under the symbol PRVA on April 29, 2021, and completed its initial public offering on May 3.[30] Later that year, it entered California through an affiliation with BASS Medical Group and acquired a majority interest in BASS’s management services organization; it also announced plans to enter West Texas.[31]

The company continued expanding through partnerships and market launches, including Montana in 2022, additional markets in 2022–2023, Indiana in 2024, and Arizona in 2025.[32] Parth Mehrotra succeeded Morris as CEO effective July 1, 2023, while Morris retired and remained on the board.[37] [29]
