Overview

Payoneer Global Inc. is a financial-technology company focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses, particularly those operating across borders and in emerging markets, participate in the global digital economy. Founded in 2005, the company describes its purpose as helping SMBs grow and operate globally by simplifying cross-border business and payments.[1][2]

Its platform combines multi-currency accounts and cross-border accounts-receivable and payable services with funds management, working-capital solutions, and workforce management. Payoneer says its services reach customers in more than 190 countries and territories, support over 70 currencies and are available in more than 17 languages.[3]

For the 2025 reporting year, Payoneer reported revenue of $1,052.8 million. Its impact reporting states that, as of December 31, 2025, it had more than 2,500 people across over 35 countries; this measure includes employees and full-time consultants.[6][7] [1]

Products & services

Payoneer’s multi-currency Payoneer Account lets businesses receive payments from marketplaces, customers and trading partners, hold and transact in multiple currencies, withdraw to local bank accounts, convert currencies, and pay suppliers and vendors. Its accounts receivable and payable tools support cross-border collections and payments, expense management, and payments to suppliers, service providers and workers. Payoneer reports a network of nearly 100 banking and payment-service-provider relationships and more than 7,000 trade corridors, with same-day or real-time settlement in over 150 countries.[8]

Other offerings include Billing for invoicing customers and collecting through card and local payment methods; Payoneer Checkout for eligible businesses to accept payments through webstores and commerce-platform integrations; and physical and virtual cards linked to account balances for business purchases, ATM access and supplier payments.[11] Working capital is offered to certain businesses directly or through third-party lenders, with advances typically ranging from $500 to $10 million. Global workforce services cover talent onboarding, employment and contractor management, payroll processing and workforce administration. Enterprise payouts support disbursements through local bank payments, international wires, Payoneer Accounts, e-wallets and Payoneer cards.[14]

Payoneer’s FY2025 revenue breakdown by product was: send to bank account, 32%; interest income, 22%; card, 16%; Other, 14%; B2B invoicing, 7%; enterprise payouts, 6%; and Checkout, 3%.[17] [8]

Geographic presence

Payoneer serves customers in more than 190 countries and territories. Its regional sales hubs include the United States, Israel, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and India; customer-support hubs, including outsourced service centers, include China, India, Israel, the Philippines, Korea, Poland, Romania and Guatemala.[18][1]

At December 31, 2025, Payoneer reported approximately 2,540 employees and full-time consultants across 43 locations in 36 countries. Approximately 51% of its global employee base, including certain management, was employed or engaged by its Israeli subsidiary; about 79% of research and platform-development resources were also located there.[19][20]

The company identifies regulated operations through local subsidiaries or authorizations in the United States, Europe/EEA, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, China, Australia and India. Its FY2025 geographic disclosures do not provide a country- or region-level revenue breakdown; they state that revenue from customers based in Israel was immaterial.[21] [18]

Business segments

Payoneer Global Inc. reports one operating and reportable segment: in its 2026 Q2 filing, management says it reviews results on a consolidated basis. The customer, product, and regional categories below are alternative breakdowns, not separately reported operating segments.[22]

In its 2025 investor presentation, Payoneer grouped revenue by customer category as marketplace SMBs (45%), B2B SMBs (23%), interest income (22%), enterprise payouts (6%), Checkout (3%), and other (1%). The presentation also showed product-based revenue contributions: send to bank account (32%), interest income (22%), card (16%), other (14%), B2B invoicing (7%), enterprise payouts (6%), and Checkout (3%).[17] Payoneer’s B2B SMB offering focuses on cross-border invoicing and collections, payments to suppliers, vendors, and contractors, and international workforce and payroll management.[23]

The company also presented a regional revenue breakdown for 2025: China (34%), EMEA (25%), APAC (21%), Latin America (11%), and North America (10%); figures total 101% due to rounding.[17] For transaction volume, marketplace SMBs accounted for $49.5 billion, B2B SMBs $12.3 billion, and enterprise payouts $24.8 billion. These figures imply approximate shares of 57%, 14%, and 29%, respectively, of the combined volume for those three categories; they are volume shares, not revenue shares.[24] [22]

Company history

Payoneer was founded in 2005 by Yuval Tal [25][26]. An early Payoneer-powered prepaid Mastercard for freelancers was announced in 2007 [27]. From 2012 to 2019, the company expanded its regulated payment operations across jurisdictions including Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Ireland [28]. It agreed to acquire payment-orchestration platform optile in 2019, completing the acquisition in 2020 [29][30].

In 2021, Payoneer completed its business combination with FTAC Olympus Acquisition Corp. and became publicly traded; that year it also introduced Payoneer for Banks and began rolling out Payoneer Checkout [31]. John Caplan became co-CEO in 2022 and CEO in March 2023 [34][35]. In 2025, Payoneer acquired PayEco, the parent of a locally licensed Chinese entity, and renamed that entity Payoneer Payments (Guangdong) Co., Ltd.[36][37]. [25]
