Company history
Link REIT was formed from a portfolio of shopping centres and car parks previously owned by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2005. In its early years, it focused on renovating and repositioning properties in that portfolio.[26]
The trust subsequently expanded beyond Hong Kong, beginning with an investment in Beijing in 2015. It later invested in Australia and entered Singapore through acquisitions completed in 2023, marking a shift from its original Hong Kong public-housing property portfolio to a broader regional portfolio.[27] [26][27]
