Company history

Lifco traces its origins to 1946, when Sweden’s county councils established a central purchasing organization for medical equipment and services. In 1993, management and Procuritas acquired the business and named it Lifco AB.[22]

In 2000, Lifco became a wholly owned subsidiary of Carl Bennet AB. The company identifies its 2006 acquisition of Sorb Industri AB as the start of a period of expansion.[22]

On 21 November 2014, Carl Bennet AB sold 49.9% of Lifco in a public offering, and the company’s Class B shares began trading on Nasdaq Stockholm.[23] [22]
