LG Display’s products include large-screen WRGB/WOLED panels and small- and medium-sized RGB OLED panels. Its OLED technologies include Tandem OLED, which stacks emitting layers to improve brightness, durability and lifespan, and plastic OLED (P-OLED) for mobile and other applications. The company also develops transparent WOLED panels; a cited 30-inch HD example has 45% transparency and 600/200-nit luminance.[6][7][8][9][10][11]
Its IT products include notebook, monitor and tablet panels. Examples include a 14-inch LTPO/Tandem OLED notebook panel, low-power 14- and 16-inch notebook panels, and gaming OLED monitors: a 45-inch WUHD panel with 165Hz refresh rate and DFR switching to WFHD 330Hz, and a 27-inch QHD panel with 540Hz refresh rate. In 2026, LG Display announced mass production of a 27-inch 4K/240Hz RGB-stripe OLED monitor panel with DFR switching to FHD/480Hz.[12][13][14]
Automotive offerings include OLED and TFT-LCD panels, ultra-large pillar-to-pillar displays, curved OLEDs and high-resolution LTPS LCD. The company also describes switchable-privacy displays, infrared camera-under-display panels and slidable designs as core technology or development projects; its materials identify P-OLED and Tandem OLED on glass (Advanced Thin OLED/ATO) for automotive use. LG Display provides customer-specific display development and manufacturing for automotive and industrial/medical applications.[15][16][17][18][19]

Instead, it discloses revenue by product category; these categories are not reportable operating segments.[28]
In FY2025, the disclosed product categories were **IT Products**—notebook, desktop monitor and tablet panels—at approximately **36.8%** of revenue; **Mobile and other products**—including smartphone and other mobile-phone panels, as well as industrial applications—at approximately **35.4%**; and **Televisions** at approximately **18.6%**, including TV panels, with the company describing a focus on ultra-large OLED TVs and premium consumer products.[12][29][21][20][30]
**Auto Products**, customer-designed automotive OLED and TFT-LCD panels, contributed approximately **8.3%** of revenue. **Royalties and others** accounted for the remaining approximately **0.9%**. Company history
LG Display traces its corporate origins to 1985, when it was incorporated in Korea as Goldstar Software Co., Ltd. The company underwent several name changes as its business evolved; in 1998, LG Electronics and LG Semicon transferred their TFT-LCD businesses to it, and it became LG LCD Co., Ltd.[31] In 1999, LG Electronics and Philips formed a joint venture, which launched as LG.Philips LCD Co., Ltd.; the company went public in 2004 and adopted the name LG Display Co., Ltd. in 2008. Philips sold its remaining ownership in 2009.[32]
The company expanded its display manufacturing through a 2012 agreement to establish a Guangzhou fabrication venture. It also moved into large-size OLED production: LG Display reported mass-producing 55-inch OLED TV panels in 2013, followed by plastic OLED production in Gumi from 2014 and at additional facilities from 2017 and 2019. Its Guangzhou facility began large-size OLED mass production in 2020.[33][23][10] [31][32][33][23][10]
