Keysight Technologies, Inc. is an electronic design and test company whose hardware, software and services help customers design, simulate, validate and manufacture electronic products and systems. Its offerings include measurement instruments, design and simulation software, and application-specific test systems. Keysight serves communications, aerospace and defense, automotive and energy, semiconductor, and general electronics markets through its Communications Solutions Group and Electronic Industrial Solutions Group. Its stated mission is to help innovators build confidence, reduce risk and prove what is next.[1][2][3][4][5]
Keysight operates across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. It reported fiscal 2025 revenue of $5.375 billion, and its corporate fact sheet describes a workforce of approximately 16,000 serving more than 40,000 customers. Products & services
Keysight Technologies’ test instruments include Infiniium and InfiniiVision oscilloscopes for analyzing electrical signals, PNA network analyzers for characterizing components and subsystems, and MXG and VXG signal generators. Its broader hardware portfolio includes spectrum and signal analyzers, power analyzers, protocol analyzers, digital multimeters and power supplies. Published models illustrate the range of capabilities: the PNA-X N5245B network analyzer operates up to 50 GHz, while MXG N5181B/N5182B signal generators are available with frequency coverage up to 3 or 6 GHz, depending on configuration.[10][11][12][13][14][15]
Its software includes PathWave Advanced Design System for electronic-circuit design and simulation, PathWave SystemVue for system-level design and simulation, IxNetwork for network traffic and protocol emulation, BreakingPoint for network-security testing, and Eggplant for automated software testing. Wireless offerings support 5G device development and validation, including RF, protocol, conformance and performance testing; network products also address radio-access and core-network testing.[16][17][18][19][20][21][22]
Services include calibration, repair, technical and application support through KeysightCare, installation, training and engineering services. Keysight Technologies’ executive offices are in Santa Rosa, California. Its operating footprint spans the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific: the company reports 208 owned or leased facilities worldwide, with primary locations in the United States, Malaysia, Japan, China, Germany, India, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Spain, Korea, Singapore, Romania and France.[28] Its largest facility is a manufacturing hub in Penang, Malaysia. It also has significant manufacturing operations in California and Colorado and five specialized technology centers across Santa Rosa, Colorado Springs and Boeblingen, Germany.[29]
In fiscal 2025, Keysight reported revenue of $2.207 billion from the Americas, $956 million from Europe and $2.212 billion from Asia Pacific—approximately 41%, 18% and 41% of total revenue, respectively.[6] [28][29][6][6][6][6]
Business segments
Keysight Technologies reports two business segments. The Communications Solutions Group (CSG) serves commercial communications and aerospace, defense and government customers. Its design and test software, instruments, systems and services support wireless and wireline networks, data-center networking, enterprise applications and aerospace and defense applications.[30] CSG accounted for approximately 69% of company revenue in fiscal 2025.[31]
The Electronic Industrial Solutions Group (EISG) serves automotive and energy, semiconductor, and general electronics markets. It provides design, simulation and test software, instrumentation, systems, computer-aided engineering solutions and services for electronic equipment.[32] EISG accounted for approximately 31% of company revenue in fiscal 2025.[31] [30][31][32]
Company history
Keysight’s history begins with Hewlett-Packard, founded by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard in 1939. HP’s first product, an audio oscillator, established the electronic-measurement lineage from which Keysight emerged. HP separated its measurement businesses into Agilent Technologies, which became fully independent in 2000. Agilent later spun off its electronic-measurement business as Keysight: the company began using the Keysight name in August 2014, completed its separation in November, and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol KEYS. Ron Nersesian was its first chief executive.[33][34][35][36]
After the separation, Keysight expanded beyond its inherited measurement-instrument business through acquisitions, including wireless-testing software provider Anite in 2015, network-testing company Ixia in 2017, and software test-automation company Eggplant in 2020. Satish Dhanasekaran succeeded Nersesian as chief executive in 2022.[37][38][39][40] [33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40]
