Overview
Grupa Kęty is a Polish industrial group operating in three main areas: aluminium extrusion, aluminium architectural and sun-protection systems, and flexible packaging, including BOPP films. The group identifies 1953 as its founding year.[1][2]
The company reports 8 domestic and 14 foreign companies, more than 6,000 employees at the end of 2025, and sales to over 5,000 customers in more than 60 markets. Its 2025 net sales were PLN 5,494 million.[3][4][5]
Grupa Kęty’s stated mission emphasizes developing employees, using resources responsibly, protecting safety and the environment, and creating long-term economic value; its vision is to be world-class in its fields.[6] [3][4][1][2][5][6]
Products & services
Kęty’s products are organized across four areas: architectural systems, sun-shading systems, extruded products and flexible packaging [7]. Architectural products include aluminium window and door systems, such as Aluprof MB-86N and MB-104 Passive; the manufacturer lists thermal transmittance values from Uw 0.62 W/(m²·K) and Uw 0.53 W/(m²·K), respectively [8][9]. Sun-shading products include external blinds, pergolas, awnings, sunbreakers, reflex screens and verandas [10].
The extruded-products business supplies aluminium profiles and components, using 15 extrusion presses rated from 1,200 to 4,400 tonnes and processing soft and hard alloys. Related capabilities include heat treatment, cutting, drawing, bevelling, marking, anodizing, powder coating, CNC machining and welding [11][12][13]. Flexible packaging products include printed packaging and BOPP films in transparent, matte, pearl-white and metallized variants, including sealable and barrier films. Packaging services include rotogravure and flexographic printing, solvent and solvent-free lamination, and polyethylene extrusion lamination [14][15][16].
The company reports construction-related sales—covering architectural systems, sun-shading systems and part of extruded products—as more than 50% of consolidated revenue, while flexible packaging for fast-moving consumer goods accounts for about 20% [17]. [7][17][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]
Geographic presence
For FY2025, Grupa Kęty reported that its products were sold in nearly 60 countries across five continents, with exports accounting for 49% of total production. The Group had 6,240 employees at year-end; the company does not provide an employee-by-country breakdown in the cited information.[18][5]
The Group’s footprint includes businesses or sales entities in Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, the UK, Belgium, the USA and the Netherlands. Listed manufacturing locations for its Extruded Products Segment are Kęty and Tychy in Poland, Slovenska Bistrica in Slovenia, and Borodianka in Ukraine; commercial offices are also identified in Milan, Dortmund and Ostrava.[19][20][21]
For Grupa Kęty S.A. itself—not the consolidated Group—FY2025 revenue was PLN 1,064 million in Poland (57.2% of the parent company’s PLN 1,861 million total), PLN 658 million in the EU excluding Poland (35.4%), PLN 132 million in other European countries (7.1%), and PLN 7 million in other countries (0.4%). Percentages are calculated from the reported revenue amounts; this parent-company split should not be read as consolidated Group revenue by geography.[19][22] [18][19][23][24][22][5][20][21]
Business segments
Grupa Kęty reports four operating segments: **Extruded Products (EPS)**, processing aluminium and its alloys; **Architectural Systems (ASS)**, aluminium façade, window and door systems, including fire- and smoke-resistant systems; **Sun-shading Systems (SSS)**, including roller shutters, gates, blinds, pergolas, awnings, reflex screens and sunbreakers; and **Flexible Packaging (FPS)**, packaging materials and plastic packaging. The Group’s reporting moved to this four-segment structure with the 2025 annual report, splitting out Sun-shading Systems from the former Aluminium Systems segment.[25][26][27][28][7]
Approximate 2025 contributions to the **sum of segment revenues** were EPS **32%**, ASS **32%**, SSS **18%**, and FPS **18%**, based on published segment revenue figures. These shares use segment revenues as the denominator, rather than consolidated external sales; segment reporting may include intersegment revenue before eliminations.[29][30] [25][26][27][28][7][29][30][29]
Company history
Grupa Kęty’s industrial origins date to 1949, when plans were made for an aluminium-processing plant in Kęty. Production of casting alloys began in 1953, followed by aluminium foil rolling in 1956 and press-and-drawing operations in 1958, establishing the foundations of its aluminium-products businesses.[2]
The company was transformed into a state-owned joint-stock company in 1992, privatized in 1995 and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 1996.[31][32] In the 1990s, it expanded into packaging and aluminium profiles; it adopted the name Grupa Kęty S.A. in 2001.[2][33] In 2006, the merger of Metalplast-Bielsko and Aluprof formed Aluprof S.A.’s aluminium-systems business. Later milestones included adding Alupol Packaging Kęty in 2009, Alupol Films in 2014 and Slovenian profile processor Aha EMMI in 2016.[34][35][19]
On 2 September 2024, Grupa Kęty completed its acquisition of 100% of Polish sun-shading systems manufacturer SELT.[36] [35][19][2][31][32][33][34][36]
