Geographic presence

JLL operates in more than 80 countries and had over 113,000 employees at year-end 2025. Approximately two-thirds of its employees were based outside the United States; the company does not disclose employee counts by region or country.[1][22]

As of December 31, 2025, JLL listed 318 corporate offices: 138 in the Americas, 102 in EMEA and 78 in Asia Pacific. These represent approximately 43%, 32% and 25% of listed offices, respectively. The counts exclude on-site property and facilities offices, which are generally located at managed properties.[23][24] Its regional employee hubs are Chicago, London and Singapore; its principal executive office is in Chicago, Illinois.[25][26]

JLL does not report revenue by country or region in its FY2025 filing. Its FY2025 results release identifies the U.S., U.K. and Spain as leading contributors to full-year Capital Markets Services growth, and notes that North American Investment Management advisory-fee growth offset lower contributions from Asia Pacific; these are growth drivers, not geographic revenue shares.[27] [1]

Company history

JLL traces its origins to 1783, when Richard Winstanley began an auction business in London that later became Jones Lang Wootton. Its U.S. predecessor, LaSalle Partners, was established in 1968. The two firms merged in 1999 to form Jones Lang LaSalle.[35][36]

The company expanded through major combinations, including its 2008 combination with The Staubach Company, its 2011 acquisition of King Sturge, and its 2019 acquisition of capital-markets firm HFF.[37] In 2016, Christian Ulbrich became CEO, succeeding Colin Dyer.[41] [35]
