Overview
Jacobs Solutions Inc. is a global professional-services, engineering and consulting company serving industrial, commercial and government clients. Its work includes engineering, design, construction and program management, operations and maintenance, and technical, digital, scientific and systems consulting. The company serves markets including advanced manufacturing, cities and places, energy, environmental services, life sciences, transportation and water.[1][2]
Jacobs describes its purpose as creating “a more connected, sustainable world.” Its operations span North America, Europe, the Middle East, India, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.[1][3][4]
For fiscal 2025, Jacobs reported revenue of approximately $12.03 billion. The company’s current profile describes a global workforce of approximately 47,000 employees and annual revenue of approximately $12 billion. Its two continuing reportable segments are Infrastructure & Advanced Facilities and PA Consulting.[5][6][7][8][4] [1][2][3][5][6][7][8][4]
Products & services
Jacobs primarily provides professional services and project delivery rather than selling products as its main business. Its services include consulting, planning, architecture, design, engineering, project, program and construction management, and long-term facility operations. It can deliver work through standalone engagements, program-management partnerships, progressive design-build and construction management at risk, spanning advisory and feasibility through design, delivery and lifecycle management.[9][2]
Jacobs also offers named digital tools for specialized applications. Flood Platform supports collaborative flood-model management, visualization, simulation, analysis and reporting, including use with Flood Modeller and TUFLOW. Alluvial provides cloud-based data sharing and insights; Scio connects infrastructure-planning information on cost, carbon, logistics and resources; Velocity supports walking and cycling plan development, route design and appraisal; and Track Record manages compliance, stakeholder, land and safety information.[10][11][12][13][14] Replica for Water is a digital twin for water and wastewater treatment, intended for design, testing and operator training; Knack Works and Knack Stack provide secure mission-application software for national security.[15][16]
Jacobs does not report product-specific revenue as a share of company performance in the cited information. For context, FY2025 reported revenue was $10.76 billion for Infrastructure & Advanced Facilities and $1.27 billion for PA Consulting—approximately 89% and 11%, respectively, of those two reported segment revenues; these are business-segment shares, not product-line percentages.[17][18] [9][2][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]
Geographic presence
Jacobs operates through offices and subsidiaries primarily across North America, Europe, the Middle East, India, Australia, Africa and Asia, and in more than 40 countries.[2][19] The United States is its largest reported revenue geography. In FY2025, revenue was $7.415 billion in the U.S. (61.6% of total), $2.872 billion in Europe (23.9%), $248 million in Canada (2.1%), $145 million in Asia (1.2%), $180 million in India (1.5%), $573 million in Australia and New Zealand (4.8%), and $596 million in the Middle East and Africa (5.0%).[20] Shares are calculated from reported total revenue of $12.030 billion.
At FY2025 year-end, Jacobs reported approximately 43,000 people worldwide, including about 1,800 contingent workers; a regional employee breakdown is not included here.[21] Jacobs’ India page reports more than 4,100 professionals across eight offices.[22] [2][19][20][21][22]
Business segments
Jacobs Solutions Inc. reports two segments: Infrastructure & Advanced Facilities (I&AF) and PA Consulting. I&AF covers areas including advanced manufacturing, cities and places, energy, environmental services, life sciences, transportation and water, with services spanning advisory, planning, design, program delivery and lifecycle management. In FY2025, I&AF generated $10.764 billion, approximately 89.5% of the company’s $12.030 billion in consolidated external-customer revenue.[2][23][24][25]
PA Consulting provides consulting services to public- and private-sector clients, including work related to data and analytics, energy transition, digital platforms, medtech, AI-enabled clinical trials and resilience. It generated $1.266 billion in FY2025, approximately 10.5% of consolidated external-customer revenue.[26][25] The current two-segment structure followed the September 2024 separation of certain businesses: Jacobs reorganized its remaining businesses into I&AF while PA Consulting remained a segment. The FY2026 third-quarter filing continued to report I&AF and PA Consulting.[6][27][28] [2][23][24][25][26][6][27][28]
Company history
Founded in Pasadena in 1947 by Dr. Joseph J. Jacobs, the company later moved its global headquarters to Dallas in 2016. In 2017 it completed the acquisition of CH2M; in 2019 it sold its Energy, Chemicals and Resources business to WorleyParsons.[29][30][31]
In 2021 Jacobs took a majority stake in PA Consulting. In 2022, Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. reorganized under Jacobs Solutions Inc. as its parent and successor issuer. Bob Pragada became CEO in January 2023. In September 2024, Jacobs separated its Critical Mission Solutions business and part of Divergent Solutions through a transaction that formed independent company Amentum. Jacobs acquired the remaining shares of PA Consulting in March 2026.[32][33][34][35][7] [33][34][35][7][29][30][31][32]
