Company history
Invesco traces its roots to H. Lotery, a predecessor founded in 1935; its Atlanta-based investment-management business was established in 1978. In 1997, A I M Management Group and INVESCO plc merged to form AMVESCAP plc, which acquired UK investment trust company Perpetual in 2000.[34][35]
In 1999, Invesco launched QQQ, which tracks the Nasdaq-100. In 2007, AMVESCAP changed its name to INVESCO PLC.[36][37]
