Overview

Interpump Group is an Italian multinational manufacturing group focused on hydraulics and water-jetting. Its products include high- and ultra-high-pressure pumps and related components, as well as hydraulic power take-offs, pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, hoses and fittings. The company says it pursues excellence through innovation and quality.[1]

For the year ended 31 December 2025, the Group reported revenue of approximately €2.07 billion and had 9,662 employees.[4][5] Its company profile describes a presence in 36 countries and approximately 130 companies.[1] Founded in 1977, Interpump developed from high-pressure water-pump manufacturing and later expanded into hydraulics.[6] [4]

Products & services

Interpump Group’s products span hydraulics, high-pressure water-jetting equipment and liquid-processing machinery. Its hydraulics range includes power take-offs, gear/piston/vane pumps, hydraulic cylinders, motors, valves and directional controls, as well as planetary gears, ratio motors, drive wheels, hoses, pipes and fittings.[2] Water Jetting products include high- and ultra-high-pressure pumps, pump units, systems and accessories under brands including Hammelmann, NLB, General Pump and Pratissoli. An August 2025 company presentation describes Hammelmann equipment and turnkey solutions rated up to 1,500 HP and 6,000 bar (87,000 psi); the Group identifies industrial cleaning and surface preparation among relevant applications.[2][11]

Other offerings include INOXPA pumps, agitators, mixers/blenders, valves and fittings for liquid-processing applications, alongside volumetric pumps, mechanical sifters and very-high-pressure systems.[12] In the company’s FY2025 results presentation, Hydraulics accounted for approximately 65% and Water Jetting approximately 35% of Group sales.[16] [8]

Geographic presence

For FY2025, Interpump reported sales of €2,070.7 million across five regions: rest of Europe €728.4 million (35.2%), North America €519.4 million (25.1%), Italy €322.6 million (15.6%), Far East and Pacific €271.0 million (13.1%), and rest of world €229.4 million (11.1%).[17] Its FY2025 workforce was 9,662, including 4,050 in Italy (41.9%), 2,256 in the rest of Europe (23.4%), 1,310 in North America (13.6%), 799 in Far East/Pacific (8.3%), and 1,247 in the rest of the world (12.9%).[17]

The company describes a footprint of around 130 companies operating in 36 countries. Its global-presence information identifies production sites in Italy, Germany, and the United States; subsidiary disclosures also indicate presence in countries including China, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Canada, Brazil, and Chile.[1] [17]

Business segments

For FY2025, Interpump Group reported two business segments: Hydraulics and Water-Jetting. Hydraulics focuses on hydraulic pumps and power take-offs, hoses and fittings, motors/steering systems, valves and related components; its sales were €1,355.0 million, approximately 65.5% of combined segment sales.[18][19] Water-Jetting focuses on high- and very-high-pressure pumps and systems, as well as flow-processing equipment for food, chemical, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries; its sales were €715.7 million, approximately 34.5% of combined segment sales.[18] These percentages are calculated from reported segment sales of €2,070.7 million in total.

The company also discloses sales by geography and application, which are alternative views rather than additional business segments. Group sales by region were 51% Europe, 25% North America, 13% Pacific Area and 11% Rest of the World.[20] Application categories included adaptors/industrial vehicles (18%), generic dealers (13%), food and beverage (10%) and agriculture (9%).[20] [18]

Company history

Founded by Fulvio Montipò in 1977, Interpump developed its Series 47 high-pressure water pump that year, using ceramic rather than steel pistons [6]. The company was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange in 1996 [21]. Between 1997 and 1999, it expanded into hydraulics and power take-offs through the acquisitions of PZB, Hydrocar and Muncie Power Products [22][23]. Hydrocar and PZB merged in 2004 to form Interpump Hydraulics [24].

Interpump broadened its industrial high-pressure business with the 2005 acquisition of Hammelmann, a manufacturer of very-high-pressure pumps and systems [25], and added U.S. water-jetting business NLB in 2007 [26][27]. Further hydraulic expansion included acquisitions in 2008–09 [28], Brazilian PTO maker Takarada in 2012 [29], and hydraulic-valve manufacturer Walvoil in 2015 [30]. [6]
