Business segments
Intapp reports one operating and reportable segment. Its chief operating decision maker reviews consolidated financial information to make operating decisions, allocate resources and evaluate performance; the company does not report separate financial segments by product or customer industry.[16][17] As the sole reportable segment, it accounts for 100% of consolidated revenue; no revenue split among its businesses or industries is reported.
The segment comprises software and services for professional and financial services firms, including accounting, consulting, investment banking, legal, private capital and real assets businesses. Its offerings address workflows such as compliance, onboarding and risk monitoring; relationship, client and deal management; and real-assets investment lifecycle management. These are business and product focus areas, not separately reported segments.[2][6][4][5] [16][17][2][6][4][5]
Company history
Intapp was founded in December 2000 by Thad Jampol, Dan Harsell, and Vera Newman, initially as Tsunami Software. In 2002, it launched a no-code integration product for professional-services firms, beginning its development of software tailored to those firms’ workflows. John Hall became CEO in 2007.[22][23]
The company expanded through acquisitions: Rekoop, a time-entry software provider, in 2016; DealCloud, adding deal-management software, in 2018; and gwabbit and OnePlace in 2019.[24][25][26] In 2021, Intapp acquired Repstor, broadening its content-management and collaboration offerings, and completed its initial public offering; its shares began trading on Nasdaq as INTA.[27][28][29] Later expansions included the 2023 acquisition of compliance-software provider Paragon Data Labs and, in 2024, the announcement of new AI capabilities and a planned acquisition of delphai.[30][31][32] [22][24][28][29][30][31][32]
