Overview
Incyte Corporation is a global biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes medicines, with core operations in hematology, oncology and inflammation and autoimmunity. Its marketed portfolio includes JAKAFI, OPZELURA, ICLUSIG, PEMAZYRE, MONJUVI/MINJUVI, ZYNYZ and NIKTIMVO; its stated purpose is expressed in the “Solve On” theme of pursuing medicines for patients, including those with unmet medical needs.[1][2][3][4][5]
Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, Incyte has a presence across North America, Europe and Asia, including European headquarters and biologics operations in Switzerland. For the year ended December 31, 2025, it reported total revenue of $5.141 billion and 2,844 employees.[6][7][8][9] [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][4][5][9]
Products & services
Incyte’s marketed medicines include JAKAFI (ruxolitinib), for myelofibrosis, polycythemia vera after inadequate response or intolerance to hydroxyurea, and specified cases of acute or chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) [10][11]; and OPZELURA (ruxolitinib) cream, a topical treatment for nonsegmental vitiligo in adults and patients aged 12 and older [12]. ICLUSIG (ponatinib) is approved in the EU for certain adults with chronic myeloid leukemia or Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia, including patients with the T315I mutation [13]. PEMAZYRE (pemigatinib), a selective FGFR kinase inhibitor, treats certain previously treated, unresectable or metastatic cholangiocarcinomas with an FGFR2 fusion or rearrangement [14].
MONJUVI/MINJUVI (tafasitamab), used with other medicines, is indicated for specified adults with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and, in the U.S., follicular lymphoma [15][16]. NIKTIMVO (axatilimab) is an anti-CSF-1R antibody for chronic GVHD after at least two prior systemic therapies [17][18]. ZYNYZ (retifanlimab) is used for advanced squamous-cell carcinoma of the anal canal and metastatic or recurrent locally advanced Merkel-cell carcinoma [19][20]. Incyte’s filing also reports royalties from licensed products including JAKAVI, OLUMIANT and TABRECTA; it does not state product contribution percentages [21]. Geographic presence
Incyte’s geographic footprint includes its global headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware; European headquarters in Morges, Switzerland; Japanese headquarters in Tokyo; and Canadian headquarters in Montreal. It also identifies offices in Europe, Tokyo and Shanghai, and a large-molecule production facility in Yverdon, Switzerland.[22][23] The company reported more than 2,800 employees across the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia in its 2025 responsibility reporting, without a regional headcount breakdown.[24][25]
Incyte’s FY2025 and Q2 2026 filings do not provide a country- or region-level revenue split; FY2025 revenue is reported by product and revenue type rather than geography.[26] [22][23][24][25][26][24][25]
Business segments
Incyte reports one operating and reportable segment: the global discovery, development and commercialization of proprietary therapeutics. It does not report oncology and dermatology as separate financial segments; its discovery work focuses on targeted oncology, myeloid diseases and dermatology.[27][28][2]
As a revenue-mix proxy—not a separate segment breakdown—net product sales for the six months ended June 30, 2026 were approximately 60.7% JAKAFI, 22.9% OPZELURA, 4.5% NIKTIMVO, 4.0% MINJUVI/MONJUVI, 3.5% ZYNYZ, 2.7% ICLUSIG and 1.8% PEMAZYRE. The percentages are calculated from reported product sales and rounded.[29] [27][28][2][29][29][29][29][29][29][29][29]
Company history
Incyte was incorporated in Delaware in 1991. In 2002, it began building its drug discovery and development effort in Wilmington, and the following year changed its name from Incyte Genomics to Incyte Corporation, reflecting its focus beyond genomics research.[30][5][31]
In 2009, Incyte entered a collaboration with Novartis on ruxolitinib; the drug, marketed in the United States as Jakafi, was approved for myelofibrosis in 2011.[32][33] In 2014, Hervé Hoppenot became president and CEO, succeeding Paul Friedman.[34] In 2016, Incyte acquired ARIAD Pharmaceuticals’ European operations and rights to commercialize Iclusig in Europe and certain other countries.[35]
The company expanded its approved medicines over the following years, with U.S. FDA approvals for Pemazyre in 2020, Opzelura in 2021, Zynyz in 2023, and Niktimvo in 2024.[36][37][38][39] William J. Meury succeeded Hoppenot as president and CEO in June 2025.[40][41] [30][40][5][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][41]
