Company profile

Immunovant, Inc.

Updated

Overview

Immunovant, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing treatments for autoimmune diseases. Its research centers on inhibiting the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) to reduce disease-causing IgG antibodies. The company’s stated mission is to enable normal lives for people affected by autoimmune disease.[1][2]

Its lead candidate is IMVT-1402, a fully human monoclonal antibody designed for subcutaneous administration, being studied across several autoimmune conditions. As of its FY2026 reporting, Immunovant had no products approved for commercial sale, making its business primarily research and development rather than product-sales driven.[3][4]

The company’s reported operating locations include Durham, North Carolina; London, United Kingdom; and Basel, Switzerland, with clinical and other activities also conducted internationally.[5][6] [1]

Products & services

Immunovant’s lead product candidate is IMVT-1402, a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn). By inhibiting FcRn-mediated recycling, it is designed to lower pathogenic IgG antibodies in autoimmune diseases. The candidate is designed for subcutaneous administration; the company has described a potential self-administered autoinjector and reported deep, dose-dependent IgG reductions in Phase 1, with no or minimal albumin reductions and LDL increases at evaluated doses.[1]

IMVT-1402 is being developed for Graves’ disease, myasthenia gravis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, Sjögren’s disease, difficult-to-treat rheumatoid arthritis and cutaneous lupus erythematosus. Company materials describe potentially registrational studies in several of these indications, alongside Phase 3 development in myasthenia gravis and Phase 2 studies in rheumatoid arthritis and cutaneous lupus erythematosus.[9]

Batoclimab (formerly IMVT-1401) is another fully human anti-FcRn antibody. After its Phase 3 thyroid eye disease studies did not meet their primary endpoints, Immunovant discontinued its development across indications in April 2026.[17] Immunovant reported no products approved for commercial sale, and its materials do not report product revenue or product contribution as a percentage of company performance.[4] [1]

Geographic presence

Immunovant’s reported business operations are based in Durham, North Carolina. Its subsidiaries list offices in Hamilton, Bermuda; London, United Kingdom; and Basel, Switzerland.[5] The company reports that it does not own or operate manufacturing, storage, distribution, or testing facilities and relies on third parties; the cited disclosure does not specify their locations.[20]

Contractual commercialization rights under the HanAll agreement cover the United States, Canada, Mexico, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Middle East, North Africa, and Latin America. These are licensed territories, not evidence of current sales or offices across those regions.[21] Immunovant reports no products approved for commercial sale, and the reviewed disclosures provide no geographic revenue or employee-distribution breakdown.[4] A prior report noted an IMVT-1402 Phase 1 trial open in New Zealand; this does not establish current trial activity there.[22] [5]

Business segments

Immunovant reports one operating and reportable segment, encompassing its activities related to the discovery, development, and manufacturing of product candidates. This is 100% of its reported segment scope; the company does not report a revenue contribution by segment.[23]

The company also discloses expenses by therapeutic area, but these are categories within its single segment, not separate business segments. The areas are endocrine (GD and TED), neurological (MG and CIDP), rheumatology (D2T RA and SjD), and dermatology (CLE).[24] Immunovant has no products approved for commercial sale, so the filing provides no meaningful segment revenue mix.[4] [23]

Company history

Immunovant’s history began with Roivant Sciences’ 2017 license agreement with HanAll Biopharma for batoclimab and related antibody candidates; the rights were assigned to Immunovant in 2018. In 2019, the company began dosing its Phase 2a myasthenia gravis study and completed a business combination with Health Sciences Acquisitions Corporation, after which it began trading on Nasdaq as Immunovant, Inc.[21]

In 2021, Immunovant paused batoclimab dosing after elevated cholesterol and LDL findings, then reassessed its dosing approach. The company expanded batoclimab development into Phase 3 programs, including myasthenia gravis and thyroid eye disease, in 2022.[31]

In 2023, Immunovant reported initial Phase 1 results for its next-generation candidate IMVT-1402. In 2024 it designated IMVT-1402 as its lead asset while continuing selected batoclimab studies. In April 2025, Eric Venker became CEO, succeeding Pete Salzmann.[35] [21]
