Haleon plc is a global consumer-health company that makes and sells everyday health products. Its portfolio spans oral health, vitamins and supplements, pain relief, respiratory health, digestive health and therapeutic skin health, with brands including Sensodyne, Advil and Centrum. Its stated purpose is “to deliver better everyday health with humanity.” [1][2]

Haleon operates in about 170 markets and reported £11.0 billion in revenue in 2025. It employed an average of about 24,000 people that year. The company became independent in 2022 following the demerger of GSK’s consumer-health business.[3] [4]

Products & services

Haleon’s products span oral health, vitamins and supplements, pain relief, respiratory health, digestive health, and therapeutic skin health. Its oral-health range includes Sensodyne toothpastes for sensitive teeth, parodontax gum-care products and Polident denture cleansers and adhesives. Centrum and Emergen-C are among its vitamin and supplement brands; its pain-relief brands include Advil, Panadol and Voltaren; and its respiratory brands include Otrivin and Theraflu. Tums and ENO are digestive-health brands.[1]

Formulations vary by product and market. Examples include U.S. Advil tablets containing 200 mg of ibuprofen, U.S. Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel containing 1% diclofenac sodium, and U.K. Panadol Original tablets containing 500 mg of paracetamol. Polident also offers a three-minute dental-appliance cleanser.[7]

In 2025, oral health accounted for approximately 31% of Haleon’s revenue, pain relief 23%, respiratory health 17%, vitamins, minerals and supplements 15%, digestive health 9%, and therapeutic skin health and other products 4%; these are category shares calculated from reported revenue, not sales shares for individual brands. Haleon also provides healthcare professionals with product information, educational materials, learning modules and patient samples through its HealthPartner portal.[13][14] [1]

Geographic presence

Haleon sells products in approximately 170 markets. It reports sales in three geographic segments: North America; Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America (EMEA & LatAm); and Asia Pacific (APAC). In 2025, those segments generated £3,866 million, £4,592 million and £2,572 million, respectively—approximately 35%, 42% and 23% of group revenue. On a country-level basis, the company reported £3,468 million from the US and Puerto Rico, £999 million from China and £374 million from the UK.[3][15]

Haleon’s registered office is in Weybridge, England. Its 2025 average workforce was approximately 24,000: 4,000 in North America, 12,000 in EMEA & LatAm and 8,000 in APAC. The company reported 25 manufacturing sites in 2025; locations identified in its operations include sites in China, Ireland, Malaysia, Kenya, South Africa, Switzerland and Puerto Rico.[15] [21]

Business segments

Haleon reports three geographic operating segments: North America; Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America (EMEA & LatAm); and Asia Pacific (APAC). These segments are assessed separately for resource allocation and performance. In 2025, they contributed approximately 35%, 42% and 23% of group revenue, respectively. Latin America is included within EMEA & LatAm rather than reported separately.[24][25]

Haleon also presents revenue across six product categories, which are distinct from its geographic operating segments. Oral Health, including brands such as Sensodyne and Polident, accounted for approximately 31% of 2025 revenue; Pain Relief, including Advil, Panadol and Voltaren, 23%; Respiratory Health, including Otrivin and Theraflu, 17%; Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements, including Centrum and Caltrate, 15%; Digestive Health, including Tums and Eno, 9%; and Therapeutic Skin Health & Other, including Bepanthen and Fenistil, 4%.[13][1] [24]

Company history

Haleon’s roots lie in consumer-health businesses that long predate the company itself. Its heritage includes a London apothecary shop opened in 1715, Thomas Beecham’s pills business established in 1842, and Sensodyne, launched in 1961. Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham merged to form GSK in 2000; GSK acquired Sensodyne’s maker, Block Drug, in 2001.[26][27]

The business that became Haleon took shape through a series of transactions. In 2015, GSK combined its consumer-health operations with those of Novartis in a joint venture, then bought Novartis’s stake in 2018. GSK and Pfizer combined their consumer-health businesses in a new joint venture in 2019. GSK demerged that business in July 2022, when Haleon became an independent company and began trading on the London Stock Exchange, led by chief executive Brian McNamara.[28] [26]
