Hagerty, Inc. is an automotive-enthusiast company that combines specialty insurance for collector and enthusiast vehicles with marketplaces and related services. Its two business segments are Insurance and Marketplace; offerings also include vehicle auctions and private sales, enthusiast events, media and membership services.[1][2][3] Hagerty describes its purpose as “to save driving and car culture for future generations.” [4] Founded in 1984, the company became public in 2021.[5]
Hagerty’s insurance operations are centered in the United States and also include Canada and the United Kingdom; its marketplace activities have expanded to auctions in Europe.[6][7][8] For the year ended December 31, 2025, the company reported approximately $1.46 billion in revenue.[9] A financial-data source reports 1,891 employees at year-end 2025.[10] [1][2][3][6][7][8][9][4][5][10]
Products & services
Hagerty’s insurance products include collector-car and enthusiast-vehicle policies, which it underwrites, sells, and services as a managing general agent for insurance carrier partners. Enthusiast+ extends coverage to modern enthusiast vehicles that may be driven more often and stored more flexibly than traditional collector cars. Its State Farm Classic+ program is distributed through State Farm agents and was available in 37 states as of June 30, 2026.[11][12][13]
Hagerty Drivers Club (HDC) is an annual membership bundled with insurance policies. Benefits include emergency roadside assistance, Hagerty Drivers Club Magazine, access to enthusiast events, a vehicle valuation tool, and vehicle-related discounts. Hagerty’s valuation tools include a price guide, transaction history and comparable sales, watchlists with value-change alerts, market analysis, and a member forecasting model.[14][15]
Hagerty Marketplace and Broad Arrow facilitate sales of collector and enthusiast vehicles through live auctions, timed online auctions, and brokered private sales; vehicles acquired into inventory may also be sold. Broad Arrow Capital offers collector-car-secured loans to qualified collectors and businesses, as well as short-term buyer financing and consignor advances secured by vehicles committed for auction or private sale.[3][16][17][18][19]
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, Hagerty reported $666.652 million in consolidated revenue: $600.821 million from Insurance (about 90.1%) and $65.831 million from Marketplace (about 9.9%). Revenue lines included $491.598 million in earned premiums, $40.100 million in insurance commission and fee revenue, $65.310 million in Marketplace revenue, and $43.488 million in combined membership and other revenue. The percentages are calculated from reported amounts; the combined membership-and-other category is not a stand-alone product measure.[20] [11][12][13][14][3][16][17][18][19][20][15]

Company history
Hagerty was founded by Frank and Louise Hagerty on April 3, 1984, initially specializing in insurance for classic and collector wooden boats. In 1991, it expanded into classic-car insurance, and in 2006 it launched a magazine for automotive enthusiasts.[28][29]
The company broadened beyond insurance over time: it introduced Hagerty Drivers Club in 2018 and acquired MotorsportReg, a motorsports event-management platform, in 2019. In 2021, it acquired several automotive events, including the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, and completed its business combination with Aldel Financial; Hagerty began trading on the New York Stock Exchange as HGTY on December 3.[30][31][32][33][34]
In 2022, Hagerty launched digital vehicle classifieds and online auctions through Hagerty Marketplace, and completed its acquisition of Broad Arrow Group, expanding its presence in collector-car auctions and related services.[35][36][37] [32][33][28][29][30][31][34][35][36][37]
