For the quarter ended 30 June 2026, revenue from hotels operating in China (HWC) was RMB 5,876 million and revenue from hotels operating outside China (HWI) was RMB 1,253 million. Relative to consolidated revenue of RMB 7,121 million, these are approximately 82.5% and 17.6%, respectively; the segment amounts include an RMB 8 million elimination, so the percentages do not sum to 100%.[25] The company’s principal executive office is in Jiading District, Shanghai, PRC.[26] [22]

Business segments

For the six months ended June 30, 2026, H World reported two geographic segments: **HWC**, covering hotels operating in China, and **HWI**, covering hotels operating outside China. HWC generated RMB 10,907 million of revenue and HWI RMB 2,225 million; against consolidated revenue of RMB 13,117 million, these represented approximately 83.2% and 17.0%, respectively. The remaining difference reflects RMB 15 million of segment eliminations.[27][28]

In its FY2025 reporting, the company identified **Legacy Huazhu** and **Legacy DH** as its two operating and reportable segments. Legacy Huazhu encompasses its Huazhu hotel portfolio, spanning economy through luxury offerings; Legacy DH comprises the Deutsche Hospitality business and its international hotel portfolio. FY2025 revenue was RMB 20,535 million for Legacy Huazhu and RMB 4,794 million for Legacy DH—approximately 81.1% and 18.9% of consolidated revenue of RMB 25,307 million, after RMB 22 million of eliminations.[29]

Leased and owned hotels are directly operated; manachising involves company-appointed on-site managers, while franchising provides support and services without appointing on-site managers.[31] [27]

Company history

H World Group was founded in China in 2005 by Qi Ji, and its first HanTing hotel opened that year in Kunshan. Its English name changed from China Lodging Group to Huazhu Group Limited effective June 1, 2018.[5] In 2019, it opened its first overseas hotel in Singapore and agreed to acquire Deutsche Hospitality; the acquisition was completed in January 2020, bringing brands including Steigenberger and IntercityHotel into the group. Huazhu also listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2020.[5]

In 2021, Hui Jin succeeded Qi Ji as CEO, effective October 1.[34] The English corporate name changed from Huazhu Group Limited to H World Group Limited effective June 27, 2022.[35] [5]
