Business segments
For fiscal 2025, H.B. Fuller reported three operating segments. Hygiene, Health and Consumable Adhesives generated approximately 45% of consolidated revenue ($1,551.8 million), serving packaging, converting, nonwoven and hygiene, medical, and beauty markets.[19][20] Engineering Adhesives contributed approximately 30% ($1,061.8 million), with products for transportation, electronics, clean energy, aerospace and defense, textiles, appliances, and heavy machinery.[1][20] Building Adhesive Solutions contributed approximately 25% ($860.0 million), serving commercial roofing, infrastructure, building envelope, HVAC insulation, performance woodworking, and insulating glass markets.[1][20]
The company also presents revenue by geographic region—Americas, EIMEA, and Asia Pacific—as a separate revenue disaggregation, rather than an additional operating-segment structure.[5] At the start of fiscal 2025, H.B. Fuller reorganized its segments: North America Flooring was sold and its results moved to Corporate Unallocated, while several building-related businesses were combined to form Building Adhesive Solutions; prior periods were recast.[21][22] [19][20][1][20][20][5][21][22]
Company history
H.B. Fuller traces its origins to 1887, when Harvey Fuller began making flour-and-water paste in St. Paul, Minnesota. The company was incorporated in 1915, made its first public stock offering in 1968, and expanded into Europe in 1972 with the acquisition of Germany’s Lüneburger Wachsbleiche.[4]
The company broadened its industrial adhesives business in 2012 by acquiring Forbo’s global industrial adhesives business, then expanded its specialty adhesives and sealants portfolio with the 2017 acquisition of Royal Adhesives & Sealants.[23][24]
In 2022–2023, H.B. Fuller made a series of acquisitions, including GSSI, Lemtapes, Beardow Adams, Adhezion Biomedical, Aspen, XChem and Sanglier, extending its reach across adhesive applications, including medical adhesives. Celeste Mastin became president and CEO in December 2022, succeeding Jim Owens upon his retirement.[25][26][27][28] [25][26][27][4][23][24][28]
