FirstCash’s operations span the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia and the United Kingdom. It reports four segments: U.S. Pawn, Latin America Pawn, U.K. Pawn and U.S. retail point-of-sale payment solutions. As of June 30, 2026, it reported 3,343 pawn locations across those regions.[2][3]

Products & services
FirstCash offers short-term, non-recourse pawn loans secured by personal property such as jewelry, electronics, tools, appliances, sporting goods and musical instruments. Lending is based chiefly on collateral marketability and expected resale value. Loan terms vary by market: typically 30–90 days in the U.S. and Latin America, with an additional 14–90-day grace period, and six months in the U.K., with a two-month grace period. Customers may repay, renew or extend loans where permitted; unredeemed items are forfeited and sold.[1][7] Its retail merchandise includes forfeited pawn collateral, goods purchased directly from the public, and limited new or refurbished goods sourced from wholesalers and manufacturers. The company also sells wholesale scrap jewelry.[8]
Through American First Finance (AFF), FirstCash provides point-of-sale financing through merchant partners, including e-commerce merchants. Its lease-to-own option lets customers rent goods through recurring payments—generally weekly, biweekly, semimonthly or monthly—with the option to acquire ownership, typically over 6–24 months; customers can return the goods and cancel without penalty. AFF also offers retail installment sales agreements, typically with 6–24-month terms, and services installment loans originated by a Utah-chartered bank, generally for 6–24 months.[9][10][11][12]
In 2025, pawn loan fees represented 46% of consolidated net revenue. Within AFF’s gross transaction volume that year, lease-to-own accounted for 43% and retail installment sales agreements for 12%.[13][10][11] [1][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
Geographic presence
At June 30, 2026, FirstCash Holdings operated 3,343 pawn stores: 1,212 in 29 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, 1,836 in Latin America (1,729 in Mexico, 77 in Guatemala, 18 in El Salvador and 12 in Colombia), and 295 in the United Kingdom. Its point-of-sale payment solutions business also operates in the United States.[14][15] At year-end 2025, Texas was its largest U.S. state by store count, with 490 locations; the U.K. estate included 253 stores in England, 26 in Scotland and 7 in Wales.[16]
In fiscal 2025, revenue from the U.S. Pawn and U.S. POS segments combined was approximately $2.624 billion, or 71.7% of consolidated revenue; Latin America contributed $889.5 million (24.3%) and the U.K. $150.7 million (4.1%). These are calculated from reported segment revenue and represent regional segment totals rather than a separate country-revenue schedule.[17][2] For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the corresponding amounts were approximately $1.381 billion for the combined U.S. segments (65.0%), $549.2 million for Latin America (25.8%) and $197.0 million for the U.K. (9.3%); rounded shares may not total 100% because of intersegment eliminations.[18][14] The company’s principal executive offices are in Fort Worth, Texas.[19] [14][15][16][17][2][18][19]
Business segments
FirstCash reports four operating segments. U.S. Pawn covers pawn operations in 29 U.S. states and the District of Columbia; Latin America Pawn covers Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Colombia; and U.K. Pawn covers England, Scotland and Wales.[2]
Retail POS Payment Solutions consists of AFF, which provides lease-to-own products and other retail-financing payment options through traditional and e-commerce merchant partners.[20]
By 2025 segment revenue, U.S. Pawn contributed approximately 47.9% of consolidated revenue, Latin America Pawn 24.3%, U.K. Pawn 4.1%, and Retail POS Payment Solutions 23.8%. These approximate shares are based on segment revenues of $1,753.4 million, $889.5 million, $150.7 million and $870.2 million, respectively, against consolidated revenue of $3,661.0 million; totals differ slightly from 100% because of rounding and corporate/intersegment eliminations.[5] [2][20][5]
Company history
FirstCash was formed in Texas in July 1988 and began with three pawn stores. It reincorporated in Delaware in 1991, the year it went public. The company expanded its pawn operations during the 1990s and entered Mexico in 1999.[21][22][23]
In 2016, First Cash Financial Services merged with Cash America in a transaction announced as a merger of equals and completed on September 1; the combined company was named FirstCash, Inc. In December 2021, FirstCash Holdings, Inc. became the public holding-company successor to FirstCash, Inc., alongside the completed acquisition of American First Finance. In 2025, FirstCash completed its acquisition of U.K. pawnbroker H&T Group, expanding its operations into the United Kingdom.[24][25][26][27] [21][22][23][24][25][26][27]
