Tubize’s stated purpose includes generating long-term shareholder returns, supporting UCB’s development of treatments for serious illnesses, and fostering a sustainable biopharma ecosystem [7][8]. Tubize reported no employees; for operating scale, UCB reported 2025 revenue of €7.741 billion and 10,117 employees [9][6]. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][6]

No product-sales mix or product contribution to performance applies directly to Tubize, which has no product sales of its own. [1][10][11][12][13][14][15][12][13][14][15]

Company history
Financière de Tubize dates to 1928. Company records describe Tubize as becoming part of the Janssen family that year; UCB was also created in 1928, as a separate milestone, by Emmanuel Janssen.[18][19][5]
Tubize first became a UCB shareholder in 1961. It substantially increased its position in 1981 by acquiring half of Rhône-Poulenc’s UCB securities, while Royale Belge acquired the other half. After gradually taking over Royale Belge’s UCB shares, Tubize’s holding reached 40% in 2002.[20][21][22]
In 2006, Tubize borrowed €100 million to participate in a UCB capital increase supporting UCB’s acquisition of Schwarz Pharma. On 25 April 2025, Bruno Holthof became chair of Tubize, succeeding Gaëtan Hannecart.[23][24] [18][19][5][20][21][22][23][24]
