Overview
Everus Construction Group, Inc. is a U.S. specialty construction-solutions company headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota. Its two principal businesses are Electrical & Mechanical, which provides electrical, communications, fire-protection, renewable-energy and mechanical construction services, and Transmission & Distribution, which builds and maintains electrical, gas, communications and transportation-lighting infrastructure. Everus operates across much of the United States through 15 operating companies and 19 local brands; its historical business dates to 1997.[1][2][3]
The company’s stated mission is “Safely Building America’s Future®.” [4] Everus reported approximately $3.75 billion in operating revenues in 2025 and a workforce of about 9,400 at year-end. It became an independent, publicly traded company in October 2024.[5][6][7] [1][2][3][5][6][7][4]
Products & services
Everus provides electrical, mechanical and fire-protection contracting, along with low-voltage services, renewable-energy installations, packaged controls and manufacturing. Its work includes electrical and communications wiring, fire-suppression systems, renewable infrastructure, mechanical piping and ongoing maintenance for sectors including data centers, healthcare, education, manufacturing and government.[8][2]
Its Transmission & Distribution services cover construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical, natural-gas and communications infrastructure, as well as transportation lighting, substations, excavation, underground boring and emergency restoration. Everus also manufactures, sells and rents line-stringing equipment, including pullers, tensioners, trailers, reel stands, reel carriers, stringing blocks, reels and breakaways; individual equipment specifications were not provided in the retrieved company information.[3][9]
In 2026, Everus added mechanical, electrical and plumbing capabilities through its acquisition of SE&M, which serves pharmaceutical, complex industrial and healthcare customers.[10] In 2025, E&M accounted for approximately 77% of total contract revenues and T&D approximately 23%; the company’s reported figures are by segment, not by individual product or service.[11] [8][2][3][10][11][9]

Everus Construction Group operates throughout most of the United States. At year-end 2025, its E&M segment had offices in 28 cities and a physical presence in 13 states; its T&D segment had offices in 19 cities and a physical presence in 11 states. T&D identifies significant operations in Missouri, California, Montana and Oregon, and equipment-rental and manufacturing distribution centers in Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Oregon and Ohio. These are disclosed examples, not a complete state-by-state footprint.[1][2][12]
The company’s principal executive offices are in Bismarck, North Dakota. In April 2026, Everus acquired SE&M, headquartered in Elm City, North Carolina, to expand its presence in the Southeastern U.S. At December 31, 2025, Everus had approximately 9,400 employees across 28 states; the company does not disclose employee counts by state. Its filings do not provide revenue by country, state or region, so geographic revenue percentages are unavailable.[13][10][6][14][1][15] [1][2][12][13][10][6][14][15]
Business segments
Everus Construction Group reports two business segments. Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) provides electrical and communications wiring, fire-suppression systems, renewables infrastructure, and mechanical piping and services. Its work serves commercial, industrial, institutional, renewables, and service/other markets. In fiscal 2025, E&M generated approximately 77% of total contract revenues, with segment revenue of $2,920.7 million.[2][11][16]
Transmission & Distribution (T&D) constructs and maintains electrical, gas, and communications infrastructure for utility and transportation customers, including overhead and underground systems, substations, transportation lighting, and related services. T&D contributed approximately 23% of total contract revenues in fiscal 2025, with segment revenue of $848.5 million.[3][11][16] The latest interim figures show a similar mix shift: in the first half of 2026, E&M generated 81.4% and T&D 19.0% of consolidated revenue. “Corporate and Other” is presented separately in financial reconciliations, not as a third reportable revenue segment.[17][18] [2][11][16][3][16][17][17][18]
Company history
MDU Resources traces the origins of its construction-services business to 1997, when it made its first acquisition. Jeffrey S. Thiede became CEO of the then-named MDU Construction Services Group effective April 30, 2013.[19][20]
In November 2023, MDU announced plans to separate its construction-services business. The business rebranded as Everus Construction Group in March 2024, and MDU completed the separation on October 31, 2024, distributing Everus shares to eligible MDU shareholders.[21][22][23]
On April 1, 2026, Everus acquired North Carolina-based SE&M Constructors, SE&M of the Triangle, and SECO Rentals, broadening its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing capabilities and presence in the Southeast.[10][24] [21][22][10][19][20][23][24]
