Overview

CoreWeave is an AI-focused cloud infrastructure company providing an integrated platform of purpose-built compute infrastructure, AI-native software, and managed services for AI training, inference, and other workloads. Its offerings include infrastructure and storage, workload orchestration and monitoring through CoreWeave Mission Control, runtime-acceleration services, and developer tools, including Weights & Biases products.[1] The company describes its mission as “to accelerate human discovery.” [5]

CoreWeave operates data centers across the United States, Europe, and Canada, with infrastructure in six countries.[6][7] Revenue was $5.131 billion for fiscal 2025 and $4.653 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026; these are annual and interim figures, respectively.[8][9] The company reported 2,189 employees as of December 31, 2025.[10] [1]

Products & services

CoreWeave’s products include GPU compute, AI-optimized storage, and managed software for deploying and operating AI workloads. Its GPU infrastructure supports large-scale training and inference; its data-center network includes NVIDIA Quantum-X800/XDR interconnects rated at 800 Gbps, alongside Quantum-2 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X Ethernet/RoCE/RDMA.[11] The company’s filings describe benchmark results but do not quantify product-specific performance gains.[13]

CoreWeave AI Object Storage provides object and file storage for AI workloads, with GPU-local caching through Local Tier Acceleration (LOTA); a 2026 solution brief states throughput of up to 7 GB/s per GPU.[14] CoreWeave Kubernetes Service (CKS) is a managed Kubernetes offering for GPU clusters, while Slurm on Kubernetes (SUNK) runs Slurm-based research clusters for training, inference, and reinforcement learning.[17][18] CoreWeave Mission Control provides infrastructure observability, security, and lifecycle management, including GPU, network, and storage monitoring.[3]

Weights & Biases (W&B) offers tools for model training and serving, experiment tracking, and agent development and monitoring.[4][21] In 2026, CoreWeave announced Interconnect, SUNK Anywhere, and LOTA Cross-Cloud for cross-cloud workloads; it also introduced ARIA, an AI research and iteration agent integrated with W&B, in preview.[22][23] CoreWeave reports one operating segment, and its disclosures do not provide revenue percentages by product.[24] [11]

Geographic presence

CoreWeave leases or licenses third-party data-center space in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Its FY2025 filing names data-center locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, and Norway. At December 31, 2025, it reported 43 data centers, more than 850 MW of active power, and approximately 3.1 GW of contracted power for future rollout.[25]

Revenue geography is reported by customer address. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, revenue was $4.289 billion from the United States and $364 million from all other countries, approximately 92.2% and 7.8% of total revenue, respectively.[28] At June 30, 2026, 88% of long-lived assets were in the United States; no other single country accounted for more than 10%.[29][30]

The company is headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey, and reports leased office space in the United States—including New York, Washington State, and California—and the United Kingdom. At December 31, 2025, it had 2,189 employees: 1,967 in the United States and 222 across 19 other countries; the filing does not provide a country-level breakdown for those employees.[26][10] [25]

Business segments

CoreWeave reports one operating segment and one reportable segment: its consolidated business. The company does not report separate revenue or operating results for individual business lines, so its sole segment represents 100% of consolidated revenue. The latest available report is for Q2 2026; revenue was $2.575 billion for the quarter and $4.653 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026.[24]

The company describes its platform as cloud computing infrastructure and services optimized for AI and high-performance computing. Its disclosed platform areas include foundational infrastructure, infrastructure software services, managed software services, and application software services; these are product and platform descriptions, not separately reported segments, and no revenue mix by area is provided.[32] [24]

Company history

CoreWeave was formed in September 2017 by Michael Intrator, Brian Venturo, and Brannin McBee, initially operating in cryptocurrency mining. In 2019, it acquired Leonardo Render and brought its Concierge Render service to market, marking an early move into rendering services. The company launched the CoreWeave Cloud Platform in 2020 and later discontinued its crypto-mining offerings.[37]

In 2023, CoreWeave announced a $2.3 billion debt facility to support expansion of its specialized cloud infrastructure. Its shares began trading on Nasdaq in March 2025, and it completed its acquisition of AI developer platform Weights & Biases in May of that year.[41] [37]
