The company also has a Hong Kong business address and operates through overseas subsidiaries, including CITIC Securities International and Hong Kong-based brokerage and fund-services entities. CITIC Securities reports five business segments. In 2025, securities investment contributed approximately 37% of operating revenue, brokerage 28%, asset management 19%, securities underwriting 8%, and other businesses 8%.[23] Securities investment encompasses trading and market-making in equities, fixed income and derivatives, as well as margin financing, securities lending and alternative investment.[24] Brokerage covers securities and futures brokerage and agency sales of financial products; asset management manages investment plans, funds and other accounts; and underwriting covers securities placement, underwriting and financial advisory.[25][26][27]

Company history
CITIC Securities was established in Beijing in October 1995 and converted into a joint-stock company in December 1999. After an initial public offering in 2002, its A shares began trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in January 2003.[30][31][32]
The company expanded its access to international capital markets when its H shares listed in Hong Kong in October 2011. In July 2013, CLSA became a wholly owned subsidiary of CITIC Securities International, marking a significant expansion of the group’s overseas securities business. CITIC Securities completed its acquisition of Guangzhou Securities in January 2020 and renamed it CITIC Securities South China.[33][34][35] [30][31][32][33][34][35]
