Bitdeer Technologies Group

Updated

Overview

Bitdeer Technologies Group is a Singapore-headquartered technology company operating in Bitcoin mining and digital infrastructure. Its businesses include Bitcoin self-mining, SEALMINER mining machines, cloud hash-rate services, mining-equipment hosting, and infrastructure for AI cloud computing, high-performance computing and data-center colocation.[1]

The company has operations across the United States, Bhutan, Norway, Canada, Malaysia and Ethiopia. Its stated ambition, attributed to founder Jihan Wu, is to develop Bitdeer into a “preeminent technology enterprise.” [5][6]

For the year ended December 31, 2025, Bitdeer reported US$620.3 million in total net revenue and 471 full-time employees. Bitdeer Group was founded in 2020; the company later became independent in 2021 and was listed on Nasdaq in 2023.[7] [1]

Products & services

Bitdeer’s SEALMINER line comprises Bitcoin mining rigs using its proprietary SEAL ASICs. Models include the A1, A2/A2 Pro air- and hydro-cooled variants, A3/A3 Pro, and A4 Ultra. Published specifications range from the A1’s 18.1 J/TH chip efficiency to the A3 series’ 260–660 TH/s and 12.5–14 J/TH; the A4 Ultra is listed at 9.45 J/TH.[11] The company also sells rigs and accessories, and offers technical and repair services and containerized mining solutions.[16]

Mining-related services include self-mining, cloud hash rate and hosting. Cloud Hash Rate customers subscribe to computing power from Bitdeer rigs, direct it to a selected mining pool and receive pool payouts; capacity can be allocated in slices as small as 1 TH/s.[17] General Hosting provides datacenter space, power, networking, security monitoring, maintenance and technical support; Membership Hosting reserves capacity and provides priority access and management services; Cloud Hosting is a retail hosting offer that includes rig operations, electricity and maintenance.[20]

For AI workloads, Bitdeer’s AI cloud provides access to NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD systems using H100, H200, B200 and GB200 NVL72 GPUs, while its colocation offering provides high-density datacenter space for customers’ equipment.[2][23] In full-year 2025, self-mining generated about 63.8% of net revenue, rig and accessory sales 17.5%, Membership Hosting 9.9%, General Hosting 5.6%, AI infrastructure/cloud 1.1%, and cloud hash rate 0.3%.[7] [11]

Geographic presence

Bitdeer Technologies Group is headquartered in Singapore. Its August 2026 company update lists data centers in the United States, Norway, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and Malaysia.[25] The 2026 Q2 capacity table lists existing sites in the U.S. (Rockdale, Texas; Knoxville, Tennessee; Wenatchee, Washington; and Massillon, Ohio), Norway (Molde and Tydal), Bhutan (Gedu and Jigmeling), Ethiopia (Oromia Region), and Malaysia (Cyberjaya). It reports 1,752 MW of existing capacity and 1,228.2 MW of pipeline capacity; the pipeline includes sites in Ohio and Alberta, Canada, as well as Cyberjaya and Johor Bahru, Malaysia.[26]

The company’s principal executive office is in Singapore, and its registered office is in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.[27] At year-end 2025, it had 471 full-time employees, most located in Singapore and the United States; country-level headcounts are not provided.[8] The available materials do not provide revenue by country or region; the company describes its business as an integrated operation and does not present geographic segment information.[28] [25]

Business segments

Bitdeer Technologies Group reports one operating segment: management assesses the company as an integrated business rather than as separate reportable segments. Its filings nevertheless disaggregate revenue by business source. The following approximate contributions use the 2025 revenue-source breakdown, the latest annual figures identified here; these are revenue categories, not formal segment shares.[28][29]

In 2025, self-mining—primarily cryptocurrency mining—generated approximately 63.9% of revenue. Sales of mining rigs and accessories, including SEALMINER products, contributed 17.5%. Hosting businesses comprised Membership Hosting (9.9%), General Hosting (5.6%) and Cloud Hosting arrangements (less than 0.1%); they provide datacenter capacity and related hosting or management services to miners. AI cloud services, including GPU-based AI/HPC cloud and colocation, contributed 1.1%. Cloud hash-rate subscriptions and associated electricity subscriptions together contributed approximately 0.3%. “Others,” including technical, repair, leasing and related offerings, accounted for 1.7%.[29]

The Q2 2026 results presentation separately identified Co-mining, alongside self-mining, hosting, cloud hash rate, AI Cloud and mining-rig sales. That interim business-line presentation does not change the filing’s formal one-segment classification.[30][28] [28]

Company history

Bitdeer’s corporate group was formed in January 2021 through a Bitmain reorganization that separated its cloud hash rate, self-mining and hosting operations; it began operating independently on January 26. The BTC.com pool business was separated from the group in April 2021.[9][31]

In April 2023, Bitdeer completed its business combination with Blue Safari and became a Nasdaq-listed company under the ticker BTDR.[32][33] That year, it also entered a partnership with Bhutan’s Druk Holding & Investments to develop digital-asset-mining operations, including the Gedu datacenter.[34][35]

In 2024, Bitdeer introduced its first in-house Bitcoin-mining chip, SEAL01, and later launched the SEALMINER A2 series.[11][36] It also expanded through the acquisitions of Norwegian datacenter operators Troll Housing and Tydal Data Center, and mining-rig developer FreeChain.[37] In 2025, the company announced a 101-MW site and gas-fired power project acquisition near Fox Creek, Alberta, and reported mass production of its SEALMINER A3.[38][39] [9]
