Axon Enterprise, Inc. is a Scottsdale, Arizona-based technology company that develops hardware and software for public safety and related markets. Founded in 1993, it states that its mission is to protect life and describes its broader aims as making the bullet obsolete, reducing social conflict, and supporting a fair and effective justice system.[1][2][3][4]

Axon’s connected devices include TASER conducted-energy devices, Axon Body cameras and accessories, Axon Fleet in-car video systems, and equipment for interview rooms, fixed-camera installations, drones and counter-drone applications. TASER devices are designed to provide a less-lethal option during confrontations; named models include TASER 7 and TASER 10. The counter-drone offering includes technology to detect, identify and track drones.[12][13][14][15][16][17]
Its software and services center on Axon Evidence, a cloud platform for storing, managing and sharing digital evidence with chain-of-custody and compliance features. Axon Respond brings together location data, alerts and video feeds for real-time situational awareness, while Axon Records and Axon Standards support administrative workflows. AI-enabled offerings include Draft One for drafting report narratives, Auto-Transcribe, Real-Time Translation and Policy Chat. Axon Fusus is part of its real-time-operations portfolio.[18][19][20][6]
In 2025, software and services accounted for approximately 43.3% of revenue. Among connected devices, TASER products accounted for 32.9%, personal sensors for 14.3%, and platform solutions—including in-car video and other equipment—for 9.6%. Axon Enterprise generates most of its revenue in the United States. In 2025, U.S. revenue was $2.305 billion, or 83% of the total; other countries contributed $474.5 million, or 17%. The international share was 15% in 2024 and 14% in 2023.[10]
Axon’s headquarters are in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area, where it has seven facilities totaling approximately 900,000 square feet. Its largest manufacturing and research spaces are in Arizona, while its largest sales and administrative offices are in Arizona, Washington and Massachusetts. Axon also has more than 30 leased locations across nine U.S. states and more than 15 countries internationally. Axon Enterprise reports two segments: Connected Devices and Software and Services. Connected Devices comprises TASER conducted-energy devices, body cameras, fixed and in-car cameras, drone and counter-drone technologies, and related accessories and hardware products. Software and Services comprises cloud-based tools for managing and analyzing digital evidence, productivity and real-time operations, including Axon Evidence, Draft One and Axon Records; its revenue also includes professional services and certain software licenses.[5][6]
In 2025, Connected Devices generated approximately 57% of revenue, split among TASER products (33% of company revenue), Personal Sensors (14%) and Platform Solutions (10%). Software and Services contributed approximately 43%. These are the company’s reportable segments; the three Connected Devices categories are a further product-line breakdown, not separate reportable segments. Company history
Axon Enterprise traces its origins to September 1993, when it was incorporated in Arizona as ICER Corporation. It became AIR TASER later that year and TASER International in 1998; founder Rick Smith has served as its chief executive. The company initially built its business around TASER conducted-energy devices before expanding into digital tools for law enforcement.[27][28]
That expansion included Evidence.com, which the company described as officially launched in 2010, and the Axon Flex body-worn camera, introduced in 2012. In April 2017, TASER International changed its name to Axon Enterprise, reflecting a business that had grown beyond its original device line.
