Health offerings vary by market. In Hong Kong, OptimaCEO covers hospital and outpatient surgery treatment and uses a selected provider network; Health Wallet encourages use of that network, while Signature Healthcare Circle provides a health concierge service.[8] In Malaysia, A-Plus Health combines medical coverage with flexible cost-saving options and a Health Wallet that rewards healthier choices.[9] AIA Vitality adds a wellness component to AIA’s propositions, supporting preventive care, chronic-disease management and rehabilitation.[10] [6][7][7][7][8][9][10]

Company history
AIA traces its origins to an insurance agency established by Cornelius Vander Starr in Shanghai in 1919. In 1931, a predecessor company, INTASCO, opened branches in Hong Kong and Singapore. INTASCO moved its head office to Hong Kong in 1947, the year Philam Life was founded in the Philippines.[16][17][18]
After a reorganisation prompted by its then-parent AIG’s 2008 liquidity crisis, AIA Group listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2010.[19][20] Its later expansion included the acquisition of ING’s Malaysian insurance business in 2012 and the commencement of business in Sri Lanka through the acquisition of Aviva NDB Insurance in 2013. In 2017, AIA announced an agreement to acquire Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s life-insurance businesses in Australia and New Zealand, alongside long-term distribution agreements.[21][22][23] [16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23]
