Advantest’s sales are concentrated in East Asia. For the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, sales by ship-to destination were ¥326.5 billion in Taiwan (41.9% of total), ¥175.1 billion in China (22.5%), ¥157.0 billion in South Korea (20.1%) and ¥15.8 billion in Japan (2.0%). The Americas accounted for ¥47.1 billion (6.0%), Europe ¥20.0 billion (2.6%) and other regions ¥38.2 billion (4.9%). Overall, 98.0% of sales were shipped outside Japan. Advantest reports three business segments. Semiconductor & Component Test Systems supplies semiconductor testers, including systems for system-on-chip (SoC) and memory devices. Company history

Advantest traces its origins to 1954, when it was established in Japan as Takeda Riken Kogyo. The company adopted the Advantest name in 1985 as it developed its semiconductor-testing business.[13]

A major expansion came in 2011 with the acquisition of Verigy, a semiconductor test-equipment company. Advantest later broadened its test-equipment portfolio through the acquisition of Italian power-semiconductor test-equipment maker CREA in fiscal 2022.[13][6] [6][13]
