## Company history

LondonMetric’s history brings together two property businesses. London & Stamford Property Limited was founded in 2007 by Raymond Mould, Patrick Vaughan and Humphrey Price, and floated on AIM that November. Metric Property Investments was established separately in 2010, co-founded by Andrew Jones, and completed its IPO in March of that year. The legal entity that became today’s LondonMetric was incorporated in January 2010 as London & Stamford Property Plc. [28](https://www.londonmetric.com/~/media/Files/L/londonmetric/results-and-presentations/report/Londonstamford-lseadmissionprospectus-21-sep-10.pdf)[29](https://www.estatesgazette.co.uk/news/london-stamford-property-launches-on-aim/)[30](https://www.estatesgazette.co.uk/news/andrew-jones-s-metric-begins-trading-on-the-stock-exchange/)[31](https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/07124797)

In January 2013, London & Stamford and Metric combined in an all-share merger. London & Stamford changed its name to LondonMetric Property Plc, and the combined company began trading on the London Stock Exchange Main Market. Andrew Jones became chief executive, while Patrick Vaughan chaired the combined company. The merger established LondonMetric as a larger property group, with a portfolio reported at about £1.2bn in its first full-year results. Over the following years, the company shifted its portfolio toward distribution and logistics, selling London offices and residential assets as it expanded its distribution holdings. It acquired A&J Mucklow in 2019, increasing its urban-logistics exposure, followed by acquisitions of CT Property Trust in 2023 and the merger with LXi REIT in 2024. In 2025, it completed the acquisition of Urban Logistics REIT, a further major expansion of its logistics portfolio.
